Best seat for your money!
Was greatly impressed with this toilet seat... As much as you can be impressed by a toilet seat anyway. Lol. We needed a better potty training solution and toss seemed to fit the bill. We are liking this for a number of reasons. 1) SAFETY: Slow close feature is very nice... I know we would regret not having that the first time our little girl smashed her fingers (which would have already happened of this seat didn't have show close). 2) EASY CLEANING: I've never seen a toilet seat that was so strongly secured to the toilet and I've never seen one that removes so easily and quickly. See my uploaded pictures. Seat does not move around. It's solid. When you need to clean.. Just lift two little tabs and everything pops right off the toilet for easy easy cleaning. Some one is a genius. I hate cleaning toilets... But at least this makes it easy to do thorough job quickly. 3) GREAT CHILD'S SEAT: little helmets fit right on here. Out of the way when you need it to be and easy down for kids. It removes easily so if you just want a normal seat w no sign of it being a kids seat... Just pop it off.So far I don't see any flaws with the seat. I'm just impressed. :)

Perfect for Potty Training!
My daughter recently got it into her head that she wanted to start potty training but she was terrified of being held on the toilet with the adult seat. I was not wild about her potty, which I had to empty into the regular toilet and clean after every use. We plopped the child seat from her potty onto the toilet, but then adults couldn't use the toilet without removing the child seat. This invention is perfect! We ordered two - one for each bathroom she uses - and couldn't be happier. Breeze to install, slow close so she doesn't smash her fingers in her haste to put the seat down, and best of all the child seat stays up with a magnet. We were delighted to see that these toilet seats are made in the USA and are thus far very impressed with the quality and attention to detail.Update 7/2/22Amazon tells me I bought these toilet seats in February 2017. It is now July 2022. Both seats failed this weekend as the magnets quite literally rusted out (in one seat it rusted out of the toddler seat, in the other seat it rusted out of the lid). I replaced the magnets with 1/2 inch neodymium magnets embedded in two part epoxy. Hopefully this will prevent water from getting into and corroding the new magnets. However, they have worked beautifully well for over 5 years before failing. My older two daughters both stopped using the toddler seat right around 4-4.5 years old. If you aren't crazy like us and keep having kids, these seats will likely last perfectly well for the average user. I still want to get a few more kids uses out of these, so epoxy and neodymium magnets it is!

EDITED: Total Junk.... Not waterproof? I thought this was a TOILET seat!
As excited as I was when I first received this product, I am now pretty disappointed with it. Oh, it was a breeze to install, it looks good, fits well, closes nicely, cleans up easily, and the kiddie insert is fabulous--good size for my 3 and 5 yo boys, picks up nicely, stays put when open, etc.My complaint, and sadly it's a big one, is that the full size seat is made of wood particle material and is coated with a thin, seemingly permeable paint described as "Superior high-gloss finish resists chipping and scratching." Unbeknownst to me, one of the boys peed on the seat a little, closed the lid, and left it soaking that way until I discovered it later. The pee had permeated the coating on the adult lid and made the paint blister and the material underneath start to swell following the outline of the smaller plastic insert. It now looks terrible--like an old, busted down nasty seat, and yet we've had it less than 3 months.I normally don't mind a wooden seat and I believe they are considered superior to plastic in general. But I wish that if the bottom seat weren't made of plastic, that they would have at least used a durable coating material that was indeed water, and, ahem--pee!--proof. I mean, it IS a toilet seat, after all! After I installed this first one, I was going to buy another for the master bath because it is so very convenient to have a built-in child size seat when you have little ones in the house. But now that I know the true quality of the seat, I am holding off in hopes of finding an all plastic seat. Excuse me for not getting in there to clean it the instant any liquid hit the seat, but this IS real life, and it IS marketed as a seat suitable for children as well as adults. For a brand-new $40 seat, I am pretty annoyed. I hope this review helps others to make a wiser purchasing decision. If anyone knows of an all-plastic seat, or at least a wood seat with a better coating, send me a link please!****UPDATE***** 12/6/16I am downgrading my review to a 1 star from a 3 star. I've had this seat for just over a year now, and sadly, the magnetic piece that keeps the kid's seat attached to the lid has rusted away to nothing, again, because of poorly chosen materials. So now when you open the lid, you also have to lift the child seat out of the way, then when you close the lid again, the child seat falls down and makes a loud noise. So much for a "quiet close." I will not be buying from this brand again. I would hope to not have to baby a toilet seat to make it last, nor would I have wanted to replace a $40 toilet seat every year... Very disappointed.****UPDATE***** 10/2/2017Wow. Too bad they don't have 0 stars as an option. I don't go around posting bad reviews of products, but this one just tops my list of Never Going To Buy Again. We've arrived at the 2-year anniversary of when I purchased this seat, and ironically enough, I was considering updating this review to let you know that not only has the magnet rusted out of the kid insert (see above update), but the kiddie insert hinges have loosened so badly that we have to reattach it every time we open the lid, as the insert pops out of place and falls off every time. But just yesterday I discovered the very last straw. The regular hinge totally sheared off and now the entire seat falls off the toilet. I have little kids. They aren't rough, destructive teenagers. Sure, they're not as delicate with things as I might be, but honestly--when's the last time you ever heard of a broken toilet seat, besides in a public restroom? I am totally disappointed. Watch out for Mayfair brand toilet seats unless you're ok with buying a new one at least every two years!

Perfect! Update: broken after a year
Update: The slow close hinge broke after normal use for a little over a year. We didn’t realize the hinge had failed until our 4yo injured her finger in the seat when it unexpectedly slammed down. We now have sticky black oil around the failed hinge that is hard to clean up, and is constantly sleeping out. Didn’t expect to have to replace the seat so soon. This seat is awesome. Our toddler really took to it and loves she can use the big potty all by herself now. It doesn't slip around on the toilet rim and is very secure and tight fitting. With other toilet seats, we always had a problem of the seat slipping off to one side and eventually breaking. This one has rubbery, grippy feet on the bottom of the seat (as opposed to slick plastic). The slow close feature is great to help protect little fingers. Both the seat and top are slow close, but the child's seat is not (no problem bc the child seat is very lightweight). The child's seat is held up by a magnet and stays attached to the top with no problem when not in use. Super easy and secure install. Very impressed and would buy again.

Very happy but not completely soft-close
Fits perfectly. Only complaint is that the kids insert section isn’t soft closing, only the lid closes softly.

Potty Seat Broken
Update July 2020: Seat broke at the hinge. Didn’t even make it the year! Changed my rating, seat is useless now.Previous review:It was easy to install and the little seat magnetically connects to the lid. It’s great, all your child has to do is drop down the little seat and they are ready to go. It’s nice when you have guests as they don’t have to worry about removing my potty seat to use the toilet. When you close the lid the seat automatically connects again. I also love how it is soft close. No pinched fingers here. (No soft drop on the little inner potty seat)

So far so good!
I had mixed feelings regarding the reviews, but seat came packaged in the Mayfair box with all the normal stuff like it was authentic. All our friends with kids had this seat and were happy, so why not have it ourselves? It was super easy to install, actually you can remove the kid seat once you're completely done with kids sitting on your toilet! The way the bolts are made, you cannot dethread them since it has a mechanism that breaks once it's tight enough. Both my previous seats were broken because of dethreaded bolts. You know, the seat that slides off if you move, the seat that can give you a heart attack while you are peacefully and blissfully doing your toilet thing? That's what we had!!I've had this seat for the past 3 weeks (since september 18th) and SO FAR, no issues with wear and tear when cleaning it. Keep in mind, I don't use abrasive cleaners. Only the lysol liquid diluted in water to kill germs.... No bleach and no comet on my toilet (lol)My little one (3y.o) can use the bathroom all by herself, climbing on it and jumping off of it no problems. Seat doesnt slide, holds up well. She is not even using a little climbing stool, no need.If it ever gets ugly like the other reviewers, you can be sure I'll come update this review!

Perfect Solution & Execution: But there’s a But
I LOVE this toilet seat. Made potty training a breeze and it was the perfect solution for our tiny bathroom. The only issue I have with this product is that the adult seat ring has broken on me twice (Two weeks apart at 6months). We’ve been able to patch it up with some overnight wood glue in a clamp, but if it breaks a third time I’m going to try to find a new seat that I can swap out. I really love this product; the mechanism is genius, but the price point isn’t worth buying a second one for this particular part’s failure. If I could suggest an alteration: add two additional pressure pads to the back half of the seat where it meets the bowl.Note: all users are under 200lbsEven with this issue, I would still recommend this product for you and your tot! I think adding your own pressure pad would be cheap and doable as a workaround to avoid the same outcome, and after that, this product is going to make the transition from diapers that much easier.

Great seat
Excellent. Totally recomended, and my boys loved it. Easy to install and arrived on time. If you want to do potty training simple, this seat is the option.
