These Vintage Bookends are wonderful, with a very creative and distinctive design. Anyone who loves books should buy these bookends!!

These book ends are so perfect....sturdy enough for sure..my daughter will love them i know..

These bookends are exquisite weighted, and are very nicely made. I was attracted to them not for the emphasis on wizardry class n the description but because I am a writer and thinker. There are no symbols of wizardry about them (if there were, I would have sent them back) and fit well in my study. It was a very good purchase.

It was a birthday gift for my daughter who is an author of paranormal books and involved in SCA with a band playing 14th century music. She loved them.

I collect bookends that illustrate literary knowledge or writing to go along with my growing collection of novels. I thought that these were cute and fit with my theme. I am very satisfied.

Overall, these are beautiful. The detail is gorgeous. I love the look of these so much. As far as bookends go, however, these are far too light to stand up against the weight of substantial books. Good for paperbacks and maybe some lighter hardcovers but the heavier books just push these right out of the way. On the upside, a heavier flat book beneath each book end fits the aesthetic and solves the problem.

These bookends are just so beautiful! They sit on our coffee table holding some fairly heavy books and at one point when one of the books was removed a book or two fell against one of the bookends and that bookend held its ground rather well. I can’t say more because they have only been on our table for a couple of days now but I will say that they are just beautiful works of art and belong in an area of ones home where they can be seen and enjoyed.

*EDITED* - Not changing the star review for this small thing: IF you have heavy books like I do and you remove one, they will fall, pushing the second bookend out.I am a writer and have a bunch of books strewn on the table of my writer's nook that I wanted to organize. I saw these bookends and thought they were PERFECT for my books (I have a quill and ink set so these appealed to me).They came packed in styrofoam and were perfect out of the box. I absolutely love these and I am happy I bought them.
