In a career that has given rise to more than a decade's worth of fine-tuned, highly anticipated and wonderfully received music, the Derailers continue to build the relationship between song, listener and dance floor. Each album has been a mix of well-crafted original songs and cover songs so thoughtfully chosen and so representative of the band, that fans think they are as original as the band themselves. Challenged by their fans to create a sound that mirrors the shuffle of happy boots on a hardwood floor, the Derailers have fed the hungry dancehall crowds with their classic country beats and a 60s pop sensibility.

Good not great
I am a Derailers fan. I have many CD's. They are still really good but not as when they had Tony as the lead singer. Still worth buying. I will continue to purchase Derailers CD's.

Good, but not quite the same!
Sadly I always compare new Derailers albums to the "old style" ones when Tony Villanueva was still in the band. A few tracks on the album remind me of the old style (which is good) but several are corny country (not that special). A good effort from this enduring band but nothing to wet your pants over :-)

Finest Derailers Yet!
I've been a fan of The Derailers for years, and am so happy to have discovered this latest release. 'Soldiers' had some nice spots, but was definitely a turning point; 'Buck' was a terrific tribute, but nothing original; 'Guaranteed' is the real deal, and perhaps the finest recording from this Austin band ever!Produced by band-leader Brian Hofeltd, his production sequel after the great 'Under the Influence of Buck' release, I began to wonder why they ever bothered with outside producers - Brian is more than capable as a producer, and this latest project is high on my list of great sounds. The album itself features some of the best new songs I've heard from the D's in years, including the Tony period, and makes it clear that the corner of the band has been completely turned from the old to the new -- this is a strong, well-produced and enjoyable CD.The title sums it up for me -- if you are a fan of independent music, with a Bakersfield-meets-Beatles edge, this release is more than satisfactory.

They are finding their groove again and it is solid.
I agree with the first 5 star review. I wondered what would be the result after Tony left the band. I liked "Soldier of Love" but the band still looked liked it was trying to find its identity. The Buck tribute was well done but I wanted to hear the originality from the past Derailers. Brian well done!!! I saw "Guaranteed to Satisfy" during Black Friday and bought it. I have enjoyed listening to it ever since I bought it. 2nd track gets the most play. The music is tight and the harmonies are great. I will be checking the homepage to see when you are playing near here to go see you guys live.

The new band has found their sound
I've always loved the Derailers, and when Tony Villaneuva left, it was a big blow. I'm very happy that Brian continued on with the band, and with this CD, they've finally nailed their new sound. It's a bit different and more 60's oriented, a little less countrified, but a great sound nonetheless. Give this CD a shot and you won't be disappointed. Brian is a very talented singer, writer, and producer (he produced this CD). Guaranteed to Satisfy!
