Much better than my previous system, two plates and all the textbooks I could never get any money back for. Very easy to use, just pop the block in snap the 4 edges into place, sometimes you need a bit of leverage to get that 4th side snapped in, and then pop in the fridge overnight. I use a standard 16oz block. Very easy to clean after, I personally hand wash but I believe it may be dishwasher top rack safe, but I'd check with manufacturer specifications. No issues with breaking so far and drains the block perfectly without leaking.

I like that this machine does what it's supposed to. It's able to get tons of water out of firm tofu so I don't have to waste paper towels. However, the contraption is actually difficult to close. Sometimes I'm able to get it fairly quickly, but other times I have to dig deep to find the strength to press this thing far enough for all 4 latches. Many times locking the 2nd or 3rd side will undo the 1st, etc. I'm getting better at closing it and I do use it often lately. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but it's functional.

Works much better than just putting heavy things on top of a tofu brick. Texture is better and is more consistent and even than DYI press. It does take a lot of force to close but that's how it works.

It works good once you get it closed. The sides clip closed buuuut they have to be aligned perfectly to clip. Have to get it fully closed to clip and sometimes the clip just bends. Also I keep thinking I’m gonna lose the spring because it’s not actually connected to anything.

I give up on this thing. I've used it five times, and each time it gets harder to use. You have to snap the lid down on top, and it's just poorly designed. From the beginning, the latches on the two short sides haven't wanted to catch; and it's been harder and harder to get the latches on the long sides to catch. Today I struggled with the stupid thing for an embarrassingly long time before giving up. My tofu is now pressing between paper towels, on a plate, with a baking pan weighted down with canned soup on top, the way God intended. Eff it. Don't waste your money.

As a vegan who travels frequently, I throw this in my bag and take it with me. It allows me to cook a high protein meal in any kind of kitchen setting. It was easy to assemble and use. Pop it in the fridge in the morning and it's ready for lunch or dinner.

Good idea but the darn thing is almost impossible to set all 4 latches! Can usually get 2-3 to latch but then must put a heavy item on top to keep it down

I bought the press for more even pressing that I got with my cast iron sauce pot. I wanted something simple that doesn’t take up too much counter space.I use it several times weekly. On initial order only 2 of 4 sides would lock. This caused uneven compression. Contacted seller who sent replacement upon return/request. The later one locks on 3 of 4 sides. This is an inexpensive basic tool that does the job.

I do a better job with my hand squeezing out the water than this item will.

Poor quality. Broken already.
