If you have a SLR or DSLR camera and other maker/mount lenses, the Fotodiox Mount Adapters allow you to use your lenses on the film/digital camera body. Sharing lenses has some distinct advantages. Certain prime lens just can't be replaced, and you save cost of purchase lenses. Fotodiox offers a range of adapter from large format to smaller format digital adapters. Adapting larger format lens, i.e., large format - medium format, medium format - 35mm, excellent edge-to-edge sharpness; and the smaller 24x36 mm image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration.

Working fine. Tested with nikon 18-55 lens. Auto focus doesn't work though. But good results with manual focus

WOn't work unless your lens is manual operation
Bought to fit Tamron Lens (Nikon fit) to Minolta AF (A mount) camera.Could only see an image if pointing directly at a strong light source.Because the Camera uses electronic aperture control and the electronics do NOT pass through the adapter you are not able to control any aperture setting hence no or little light is being received by the camera.A lens with manual aperture control would probably be OK

A well-constructed adaptor, solid and secure. Note that no automatic functions will work, but you can use manual settings.
I purchased this adaptor to fit my Nikon-mount Tamron 28-300 Aspherical XR DI lens to a Sony Alpha 450. I accepted the fact that none of the auto-facilities of either the lens or camera will work, but its a reasonable quality lens made even better by using just the sweet-spot at the centre of the optics - so it was worth doing for me.The adaptor is well-made, with a metal Nikon mount and a plastic Sony mount. It comes complete with a storage bag and caps for both mounts. The mounts appear solid and secure, even with this relatively heavy lens on fully extended telephoto. As expected, the lens must be manually focused, but it's not too easy to focus accurately in the Sony viewfinder. For long-distance photography its fine - just set the lens to infinity! Also of course, the exposure is not automatic because there are no electrical connections between the camera and the lens. However on my Alpha 450 it is possible to use the camera's built-in exposure metering to help set the exposure manually. First set the aperture on the lens, depending on your required Depth of Field, the available light and your desired ISO. Set your required ISO speed on the camera, then set the Mode Dial to Manual. Press the AV button, then lightly depress the Shutter button. Monitor the EV in the viewfinder or on the LCD monitor and rotate the front Control Dial to set the EV to '0' in the centre of the scale. You should then have the correct exposure. Fully depress the Shutter Button.Note that if you attempt to use any other setting on the Mode Dial (like Auto, Shutter, etc) you will get a message like "No lens attached, Shutter is Locked".The adaptor is very discrete. Once the lens is fitted to the camera it looks part of the lens.Recommended for experienced photographers who want to use their Nikon-mount lenses on Sony cameras. Probably not very practical for sports or fast-moving subjects due to the need to manually adjust exposure and focus.

Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter - Nikon Lens to Sony Alpha
I can only give this 4 stars as I have yet to use it in anger. It does what it says on the tin, seems fairly robust and in the hour or so of playing with it indoors I feel this is going to be a useful purchase.
