Pattern Cones/Cables and Roller Spindles to Suit Henderson Garage Doors (Pre Premier Cones & Cables)

50 year old Henderson up & over garage door, fitting replacement parts, cables, cones etc has resulted in re newing my door & restoring it to new again. Many thanks. Jim. 👍

Does exactly what it says on the tin but if you are doing this job for the first time it is essential to get the tool kit that goes with it.The job? - not necessarily as easy as it looks on YouTube, certainly not in my case because the very first thing to do after releasing the spring tension is lock the shaft with the supplied crook pin and I couldn’t. Maybe it’s because it’s a 1960s door and the brackets holding the door to the frame are different I don’t know but there is no way to lock the shaft. I’ve seen it locked with Mole Grips on the Tube but no good for me because (another complication) there is not enough room to get the cones off and on without moving the door forward a little and then back again, a bit of a palaver but doable.I had to, (carefully) unwind all the tension from the spring, do the job then wind it all back on again.Tip. Those hollow pins don’t go in easily, just start them before sliding the cones on.
