tension release does not work as intended
First of all, it's not better or worse of others same China-made exactly the same, priced and branded differently pullers. If you need something good, get Amsteel Blue.For this price, it just what you get.My primary complains:- the end of the cable has a flat clip to go inside of the drum. It looks really weak; make sure your cable has a wrap or two on the drum before the load kicks in;- the gradual tension release does not work. The drive pawl gets in the contact with the stop pawl, but cannot disengage it for a single gear (or altogether - which nobody wants). I ended up just engaging-disengaging the drive pawl spring, holding the load, manually disengaging the stop pawl, releasing the load 2-3 gears at a time by moving the handle, re-engaging the stop pawl. Rinse, repeat.

Advertisement says 12.6 ft. pull length, more like 5.6ft. pull lenght.
