Great customer service great product
Worked as advertized. All my steering wheel controls work and information about vehicle is available.I did run in to installation issues and here is where the review begins: they have EXCELLENT technical support. I wish I remembered her name, but she was friendly, knowledgeable about the product and my vehicle (more than I do). I am all about customer service and so are they. This will be repeated on the data box the cable plugs in to.

Gave me back my steering wheel controls and more
I wanted this just to get back use of my steering wheel controls in my 2014 F150. When I set it up for my truck, I also gained other uses that my truck didn’t have before, but the same trucks of higher trims has access to. For example, now I can see my tire pressure for each tire instead of having to check all tires when my dash light comes on. I have access to gauges that I didn’t even know my truck had.

Amazingly easy interface
This is soooo much better than the PAC integration options. Well worth the slightly higher price. It is as easy as stated by the manufacturer. Steering wheel controls work flawlessly with no additional confusing programming needed. This will be the interface I use on all future installs now. Customer support is far better than PAC audio as well. They were actually helpful in resolving an issue that was all my fault unlike PAC who offered nothing. Highly recommended!

Didn't need tech support
Pricing is all over the place for this on Amazon. The instructions from the idatalink site said to cut and splice the OBDII wires but this harness has a plug so you dont need to do that which I think is a nice upgrade. I hate cutting factory wiring if I can avoid it. This is a big pile of wires and plugs and my F250 had room to tuck it all away but I could see it being a real challenge to fit in some cars.

Great price and makes the job simple.
I received the harness and was surprised how simple it made the installation of the new head unit. I have made my own harnesses in the past which can be very time consuming. This was worth the purchase and cut down my installation time.

Poor Instructions
About a third of the wires serve no purpose, but it’s not detailed in the instructions on what they may be for, even though it is specifically designed for a particular model. Had to cut the RCA jacks off to hard wire the speakers, the whole reason I bought this harness in the first place was to avoid splicing wires. Instructions (that I had to download) did not bother to mention which steering wheel interface I needed and after buying the wrong one (based on numerous recommendations from other amazon customers), so now I have a car I can’t drive until I get a new interface. Get this interface: Maestro ADS-MRR Universal Radio Replacement and Steering Wheel Interface

Be Warned. Will not work for Base Fusion without heavy modification of Harness.
What a waste of money. Crutchfield and many electronics sites stated you needed this harness for work with a 2010 Ford Fusion SE. So I bought it. I eneded up cutting half the harness off and throwing it away. Had to cut off the RCA plugs because my car wasn't pre amped like the higher models then spice them to my Kenwood KDT head unit. All in all it took too long, wasn't plug and play and worst of all a waste of money. All i needed was wires for the speakers (8 wires) ground, remote, accessory and Power... not everything else. I would advise to by another kit but I have absolutely no info on others.

Updated review. After having freezing issues I called technical support and it turns out I needed to disconnect something that I was connecting to the Head unit. It's working pretty well now. I don't have full functions of the steering wheel controls though. So I'm moving it up to 4 stars, but shy of 5 stars. Not as straight forward as it claims on my truck. I've pulled my read unit out multiple times trying to get the steering wheel controls to work. They work initially, but after I turn everything off and come back they no longer work.Been doing some googling and it looks like the giant pink wire it didn't tell me to do anything with will need to be run across the truck and spliced into a wire behind the dash...Less plug and play than advertised. Also having zero voice command options. If I try to hold it, it freezes up the head unit and I have to restart it.Pros: it gets music to the speakers

Good stuff
Made installing my new Kenwood stereo in my 09 Ford Escape easy. I was able to solder all the wires to the new radio's harness on my desk, and just plug it in to the vehicle. It was a bit of a tight squeeze to get everything tucked in nicely, but the end result was good. One single wire needed to be spliced inside the vehicle (because it was equipped with SYNC, the steering wheel control wire needed to be cut in a nearby harness). Instructions made it really easy to identify the correct wire to cut. I personally chose to crimp on bullet connectors such that the harness can still be removed from the vehicle without cutting wires, and it's also easy to plug the wire back into the SYNC module and return the vehicle to stock if I choose. It's not mentioned in the instructions, but I found it's also possible to retain the SYNC microphone inside the rearview mirror for my new stereo. This required the purchase of a separate adapter, more bullet connectors, and my own research into the SYNC wiring diagrams to identify the correct wires. Would have been cool if this was part of the kit, however it's by no means mandatory.
