Great guide to get started to an exciting hobby
If you ever wondered what else you can do with a microscope, besides looking at prepared slides, this book will give you many doable ideas. I wish I had a book like this when I got my first microscope. This book is aimed at beginners, but even someone who has been in this hobby for many years can learn from it. I think, especially the young, in my opinion around 10 or so, will like it. It has lots of pictures and instructions aimed at this age group. I found the instruction about, how to make a very thin slice of a plant stem interesting, but there an adult should definitely help. It also explains how you can attach a smart phone to a microscope and how to improve the images afterwards. There is also a list of related websites and literature.

A truly exciting book for the scientist in you.
I covered some biology at school and although I enjoyed it, I always wanted to do or discover more exciting things. This book delivers some of the things I would have loved to have done/discovered. I bought it for my young nephew but have had a read of it myself and might just order another copy for me. It shows you everything you need to know from where to find any subjects to study right through to how to prepare them and the equipment you will need. All in a way that is right up to date and easy for anyone to understand. Anyone can discover the wonders of the tiny world with this book.
