I got this to try Wi-Fi calling on my iPhone, which requires a SIM, for some reason (the iPhone doesn't work automatically as an "extension" off of another iPhone, as the iPad does), but Wi-Fi calling is apparently controlled by the carrier you select. I have an old iPhone that would be lovely as an extension, but I don't want to pay for another line or plan.Anyway, the experiment didn't work, but I got a bill from Ting for $45. I have no idea how they even got my credit card, and I never even made a call. I called them and they were literally clueless - no one to speak to, and no idea how to solve the problem since I obviously didn't have an account with them. The credit card folks were happy to cancel this charge, but, unfortunately, I also had to cancel the card since this was an unauthorized change. Ugh - now I have to change all of the accounts where I have this card on file.Gee, thank Ting. Horrendous customer service. Avoid these scammers!

Ting Mobile's SIM card works perfectly. I am in Texas, and up to last year, had never heard of Ting.For the price, it couldn't be beat. I was looking for an alternative cell provider and I think I found one in Ting.I needed this to provide a cell connection for mobile Internet on a laptop.I contacted Ting Tech Support to activate the chip and my new account. They had me up and connected online in like 5-6 minutes total. And that included waiting for Windows to boot.VERY nice people, very capable and the tech worked perfectly.VERY happy. I may change all the mobile communications to Ting. We'll see.

Once installed the sim card & paid the plan upfront towards the end of the month...like 3 days before the due date Ting Mobile turned off my service. Claiming I have an out standing bill with T-Mobile & since their partners with T-Mobile I couldn't use their wireless plan until I cleared my old bill with T-Mobile! WRONG!!! I never had T-Mobile as my wireless carrier! Ever!!!

This service has worked out very well.gotTing to replace Mint Mobile that stopped working when I called gave him my phone number from mint and the guy said he couldn't find me but the guy I spoke to a few weeks later when I gave him my number surprise their I was I have been trying to get a refund but when I ask about it I just hear crickets
