My 1st bluebird feeder
Took a week or so but now have a pair of bluebirds enjoying the mealworms. Decent for the price. Only issue is when the birds feed it seems like a lot of mealworms fall to the ground. Empties the feeder fast.

It attracts all the birds
This feeder is great. We now have 4 Missouri blue birds and a large number of other birds as well as ladderbacks coming to this feeder. I didn't know all the birds like dry mealworms, therefore I have to refill it every day. This feeder is very light so I hung it on a very thin tree branch. The branch is so thin, squirrels can't get to it so they've given up. My only complaint, not a valid one, I wish this feeder was twice as big.

Trying to Draw bluebirds with this
While visiting a relative who has this same feeder and meal worms, a variety of birds were drawn to this feeder including bluebirds, Robins, Tufted Titmouse, etc. The larger birds can't feed on it well. It's windy where I live and several times the large plastic perches have been blown up and stuck in that position. No birds feeding at it yet but I'm hopeful for warmer weather. It's very easy to fill and hang and shows level of worms in the clear plastic tube.

Cute. Should work! Highly recommend!
I try to purchase new bird feeders every year to keep on hand to replace others as they wear out. This is cute and reasonably priced. I shall update review should I need to but just looking at it this should do nicely for holding dried mealworms for our visiting birds. Highly recommend it!

Cheaply made, poorly engineered
I have nine bird feeders, different styles thru out my yard. This is the first feeder that I would NOTrecommend or purchase again unless changes are made to the materials used and the overall design. My different birds had no problem getting the mealy worms out of the port, but the drama begins once they leave and other birds try to lite and feed. The plastic perch under the feeding port, flips up when some of the birds fly off from feeding, blocking the ports for the other birds. The material is all plastic, except skinny hanger, so the feeder whips backs and forth when a bird fly's off and it takes a minute for it to settle down. A needed solution to this feeder, make the bottom half metal including the perches, so they don't flip up and block the feeding ports when birds leave, this would also help to stabilize the feeder. I was able to run a zip tie under the feeder to connect the two perches so they wouldn't flip up. I also used a wire to secure the top hook to the pole, to keep it from blowing around. I shouldn't have to do this, to make this product usable.

Great Bluebird Feeder
This feeder is easy to refill. The top unscrews and the cylinder keeps the mealworms dry.My bluebirds and other birds like it.

Works well but a couple of design issues
Bought these for dried mealworms for bluebirds plus other birds. Have worked quite well, so have gone to three up around the yard. Fed many pounds of mealworms to birds over winter! A couple of design flaws cause some annoyance: (1) very light, so blows in wind, plus can rotate rapidly when bird lands/leaves; (2) perches do not lock down so can be flipped up by birds leaving. Dealt with weight problem fairly successfully by using heavier gauge wire to hang, and attaching a set of large washers to the (hollow) bottom with a screw. Have tried a couple options to secure perches, but none have worked consistently (have not glued since prefer they are able to be removed). Attached a plastic plant tray to the bottom of a fourth one and trying live mealworms in it right now.

Great addition to my feeders!
The media could not be loaded. I didn’t realize how many birds eat mealworms!I put this out just to see what may happen. To my surprise it gets used frequently by chickadees, blue jays, grackles (on occasions) and woodpeckers. It’s not something they eat a lot of, like peanuts, and sunflower seeds, but they do use the feeder regularly, and it’s a great addition to your bird feeder offerings.

Parfait pour les asticots secs
Permet de controler le débit de sortie donc parfait pour éviter le gaspillage et le renversement. Je l'utilise pour les asticots secs.

Not as sturdy as expected.
Cheaply made, but still does the job.

Great size
It’s a nice size, seems well made up to now. Haven’t seen birds on it but the bug level is going down so they are eating from it. Not sure if robins fit on it though and they seem to be the biggest mealworm eater in our area.
