Refuses to eat any other flavor

I have the pickiest cat, who stopped eating his regular dry food about sixth months ago. Since then, he refuses to eat dry food, but he's never been a fan of canned food either. He'd gotten pretty scrawny due to hyperactive thyroid (he's on meds now), so I've been trying everything I can think of to get him to eat something. I've tried at least 30 different varieties of canned foods, and the most I could get out of him was him just giving it a few licks if it had gravy. I was throwing away more food than he was eating. He tends to like "fishier" flavors, and when i saw this at the store with "scallop flavor", I thought I'd give it a try. To my utter amazement, I could actually see the bottom of his bowl after he ate it! He does prefer food with gravy, and I was surprised he ate it because it's "fillets" and not "pate" texture. I'm so glad I finally found something this 16-yr-old will eat--something that's not a treat and actually has the vitamins and minerals he needs, and I'm grateful I can buy it by the case from Amazon. He's been eating it for about three weeks, and he's actually gained a couple of pounds! He's not skin-and-bones anymore, thank goodness. He doesn't eat it all every time (I only give him a little at a time), but he's eating more than he's eaten since last summer, which I'm satisfied with. If you have a picky cat, I would recommend buying a can of this from the store (if you can) before committing to a whole case of food. I've made that mistake in the past, and have given away a lot of cat food! I pray that Friskies doesn't change the formulation or flavor of this food anytime soon.

They go crazy for this! I will continue to order this for them. I love to see them eat and to actually enjoy it!

My cats love this with tiny scallops in it. Some of the Friskies with pictures of scallops on it doesn't really have scallops when you open the can. This is the good kind.

They would not allow my review the first time I wrote it, probably because I was very upset at the time, having just buried Maaky. However, I am never ordering cat food from this site again and will stick to Chewy from now on. Both of my cats, Maak and Cheez, got sick after eating this food from Amz. Over $700 in vet bills and only Cheez survived. The seller finally refunded my money, but I had to jump through hoops to get it. I wish they had paid the vet bill, but more importantly I wish I had stuck with a known seller for ordering food for them. We miss our buddy.
