Great recommendation, this actually worked to solve my endurance issue
This is an effective supplement! It dissolves easily but may settle to the bottom, so just shake your drink a bit. No tummy trouble. The taste isn't great but I drink it in my shake and don't really care. It is excellently effective. Without being cranked on caffeine I can now bike up a mountain and don't have to stop to rest nearly as much because my muscles just keep outputting power. I'm impressed. ChatGPT recommended it and also this brand and turns out it works. My wife took a serving before our 5K and she felt like her muscles were indeed oxygenated pretty decently the whole way, she got a surprisingly good time.

LIFE SAVER!!
This product was literally a life saver for me. Coming off a long-term care for my father, I was drained physically and mentally. Did not want to go on anti-depressants that my pa wanted me to go on, I was desperate for alternatives and when I tried this my thinking was clearer and physically my body aches and pains went away and sexually my erections returned to normal. I am a believer in this product.

Missing scoop
A scoop would be great, because it says 3 g but how would you know how much 3 g of a powder is?

TL;DR: Looks Good, Feels Good (taste is tart and MIGHT make me pee more)
In this review I will do my best to cover two main points: Quality/Delivery, Taste, and Potential Impact on my workouts. Background and Quality:I tried citrulline malate because I had read about it's usefulness as both a vasodilator and as a promoter of arginine production in the body, and I tried BulkSupplements Citrulline Malate because of the price-per-serving. I began taking 2x the dosage (6-7g) this past week along with my Naked Energy unflavored pre-workout and was very impressed overall. Upon opening the bag I found that the powder was very fine and without any clumping. Dosing it is more difficult with BulkSupplements because they do not include a scoop, however that was easily rectified by just measuring it out on my kitchen scale. I was extremely surprised and excited to find that despite the relatively large amount of CitMal that I had pulled out of the bag, all of it was able to dissolve fully in a cup of approx. 8-10 oz cold water. I was even more impressed when I was able to mix my 5g of pre-workout into the same cup and despite the atrociously bitter and unrecognizable taste of unflavored pre-workout, I was able to actually A) drink the glass without praying to god that the taste won't make me vomit and B) Make a flavor association to something that I've eaten before, which actually made it considerably more palatable.Taste:It is important to remember that these supplements are not made with taste in mind. That being said, I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the CitMal seemed to completely mask my pre-workout's ungodly bitterness, and rounded it out to taste very similar to a Warhead sour candy. Because of this, I was actually able to drink the cup somewhat normally rather than have to use my -take 5 sips, chase with water and repeat- method that I was doing with my pre-workout before. If you are not good with the tart taste of a warhead, you may want to find something to mix this with that isn't water. If like me you are totally cool with drinking something that's between lemonade without sugar and a liquid Warhead or you think you would enjoy the nostalgia that it brings about reminiscent of popping one of those nasty suckers into your mouth for until the sour fades, this is the perfect pre-workout product for you.Potential Impact on Workout:I want to put in a quick disclaimer that it isn't going to be entirely possible to completely distinguish the effects of my pre-workout versus the CitMal, but I'll do my best. After beginning my double dose of CitMal before my workout, I didn't notice a huge difference between my level of energy before starting the CitMal (when I was only taking pre-workout) and after the CitMal was added. the HUGE difference that I noticed was how I felt between sets. I found my muscles burning and asking me to end my set, but within a minute or two of putting down the weight, it felt almost as if I hadn't done the prior set in the first place. This insanely fast recovery was extremely beneficial for helping me get through my workout efficiently, and without leaving me feeling dead on my way out of the gym. Additionally, the amount of DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscular Soreness) was significantly lower and left me feeling not only good about myself, but also confident that I could do anything I wanted or needed to do all week long without being hindered by breathtakingly sore muscles. The final bonus for this product was that it allowed me to maintain my energy throughout the entire day. I would leave the gym breathing heavily and within a couple of minutes I felt similar to the way I did going into the gym. I was thoroughly impressed.Side Effects:Here's the rub--I am pretty sure that I started sweating more in the gym after starting this product, and I also noticed that I have had to use at least one of my breaks between sets to go pee mid-workout. I think that this is in-part due to the CitMal, however I did also start drinking a bit more water before going to the gym so I'm guessing it's a combination. Anyway, good luck finding the product that is right for you, and good luck on your workout! may the gainz be with you.

Combo with BA as an arginine alternative
My favorite preworkout supplements: this one (long name, ain't it? ;) ), beta alanine (BA), ALCAR, NAC, NALT.This supplement works similar to arginine, but in my opinion its effects are much "smoother," if you will, allowing you workout longer without the sudden "arginine high," which I suppose is what I feel the moment nitric oxide wave hits my bloodstream. You still get the benefits, they're just smoother, unless maybe you take a mega dose on an empty stomach (or with a strong dose of digestive enzymes, which would be the same thing.)Most of this review here I also posted as a BA review, which will be apparent why the moment you've finished reading. Before we proceed to reviewing L-citrulline, let's talk about L-citrulline's main contestant, arginine:If you've ever taken arginine as a supplement, you may know it will relax and expand your blood vessels, which is GREAT for workouts. It "rocks," I like the feeling so much that's how I'd term it.BUT, arginine happens to feed the herpes virus, and so it happens that the type 1 herpes virus is the one that causes cold sores, and depending on where you take your data from, you'll read that, say, about 60% of the US population carries it. This is the case even if you never got a cold sore in your life.If you google herpes virus, it can be a problematic little fella. There are several types of it, none of them good for you, and they LOVE arginine. The best remedy for cold sores is L-lysine by the way, as it counteracts arginine. The ONE TIME in my life I got a cold sore is after buying a bucket of arginine and eating way too much of it just because I loved what it did to my workouts. So I know I carry the damn virus as well (big surprise). If you do carry it, and you likely do, it is unwise to feed it. Look it up. Adult meningitis, for instance? (Any of you has a friend who got a mysterious case of meningitis? I know one fella.)Anyhow, feeding the virus isn't wise as even if it didn't cause you any problems as of yet, it might if your immune system is compromised for whatever reason, my favorite being personal problems. (Yes, your psychological state does affect your immune system.)If arginine isn't the answer, then what is?In my opinion, a combo of L-Citrulline DL-Malate 2:1 and beta alanine (BA). The first one is a nitric oxide booster, the second one opens your capillaries. Boom! You're on your arginine-type, albeit smoother, high—without side effects. What I haven't tried is arginine supplementation before workouts coupled with l-lysine supplementation after workouts, which, if you kept the right proportions (I will make no claims to know what they would be), might be the answer to what I'd call the "arginine conundrum."My standard preworkout stack includes: ALCAR, NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine), NALT, BA, taurine, DMAE, L-Citrulline DL-Malate 2:1, digestive enzymes.I sometimes add a small does of l-glutamine (watch out for this one, only take before intense workouts; read Stephen Cabot's Bulk Supplements amazon review on it to learn why, or google it please.)I left out the dosing as it's such an individual thing, and you should start slowly anyway.Hope this helps. Thanks.
