Exact replacement half the price.
It's an exact replacement but half the price of the Tamron version. I don't know why it doesn't lock in on other person's lenses. It does on mine.

Fits forward and reverse and perfect for Tamron 28-200mm Di III RXD
I simply could not find a dedicated lens hood for the Tamron 28-200mm Di III RXD. There were always lens hood product listings that talked about other Tamron models and in some user reviews like this one, it would mention the 28-200, but I was always hesitant to pull the trigger. Well I can tell you with 100% confidence this fits the lens AND can be reversed for easy storage - it threads on smooth both ways and I'm very pleased with the sturdy feel and look. Great product!
