Norpro Stainless Steel Mini Cannoli Form, Set of 6

Worked out fantastic!

A few years ago, I decided to use my Pizzelle maker to make my shells. Cannoli shells were the only thing I ever deep fried, and I really hate that process. Plus, rolling out dough has been getting more difficult as I've grown older. I was really surprised how much everyone liked the the pizzelle cannoli shells, in fact, they stayed crispy longer, after filling. I can't use the family recipe for the shells, so my 95-year-old mom wasn't happy. Fortunately, everyone else liked them better. These smaller-sized tubes work much better for the pizzelles, because the regular-sized tubes were too big for the pizzelles to stay wrapped around them.. It turns out that everyone preferred the smaller size, too. The shell-to-filling ratio was better. I didn't have to grease the tubes for the shells to slip right off. The number of six was perfect, giving the tubes time to cool off, between uses. I highly recommend these cannoli shell tubes! It's no longer a chore!

These were cute, but the made MINI Canolis. I was looking for bigger, more normal canoli tubes so just a heads up before ordering these. Make sure you're comparing sizes. It was kind of hard to pipe these with filling because they were tinier. Next time I'll get the bigger ones.

I made cannoli shells and they came out perfect. They slid off very easily. Remember these are the MINI ones so they are very small! About 3 1/2 inch long shells. These are great size for kids or a quick pop in the mouth snack. I will be buying the larger ones also for my holiday gift boxes and parties. Work great buy them.

These are 5/8in diameter and 4in length. This is why they dont display the size. Ridiculously small. They are tubes with no seams and feel very sturdy. The ends are unfinished and rough. You could probably punch a hole through something with them. Possible cannoli form/leather punch combo. While this doesn't affect functionality, it is noteable. I had to remove a bit of metal that was dangling off of one of the ends. I'm not sure what I was expecting. I really didn't notice what a problem the word "mini" was until I got one of these forms in my hand. The images look like normal cannolis, so it leads one to assume these forms could be used to get you something close to that. I suspect they just shrunk down images of regular cannolis for their product images. I had a couple mini chips on hand. The scale doesn't match. The raspberries lie. The shadows are pointing the wrong direction. You're going to need to have really thin dough with these or the whole thing is going to come out looking like a prolapsed sphincter with a lil stuff dribbling out. Not really impressed.
