S-Video/SVHS (F) to RCA Out (Female) Adapter Converter Cable

I bought this product to hook my laptop to an older TV through my laptop's s-video port. I already had an s-video cable so this solution was super cheap for me. Vista made changing the video settings a snap and I was viewing my desktop on my TV screen within seconds of making the connection. The video quality of any desktop application is almost too poor to be useful but that is what I expected and not what I bought the adapter for. I bought the adapter to watch video (downloaded from the internet or imported from my video camera) on the TV through my laptop. This video quality comes through as good as anything I watch on my TV (DVD player, Cable TV, etc.). I've even used this adapter to play PC games (like family feud) on my TV with a group of people and the video quality is not great but good enough to get buy.I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to do similar things as I have described. If you expect to see your desktop or surf the internet on a TV via a composite signal, you definitely won't be happy (but I would say you need a better TV for that anyway).

For a video camera at church, we were using a cable originating from a 3.5mm plug. That plug is not suitable for video signals but works fine for audio.I had an S-video cable to hook from the camera to the adapter to an RCA plug. The signal is now very crisp.

Works as advertised...I used this unit to convert an s-video output from my s-switcher to my composite monitor.

Completely useless. Definitely defective. It turned a color video to black and white.
