Not competitively viable
Great design and comfort but unreliable for competitive play. Only used for 1 day but inputs drop randomly when the button is held.

Game changer for Horizon: Forbidden West (and H:ZD, too!)
I bought this upgrade on a recommendation from a friend to try the Sony Back Button, which this appears to be functionally identical to except for cosmetic differences.Installation is simple plug-n-play, and once installed seems to hold firmly in place on the belly of the controller. I like that they provide the headphone jack pass thru. It does add a bit of bulk/mass to the controller, but after ~20hrs of play, I haven’t really noticed. For my “medium glove” hands and grip-style, the spoons of the paddles sit nicely under the pads of my ring-fingers.Programming the button mappings is very easy and intuitive. While the paper instructions explain it just fine, I actually just watched a 1min YouTube video and had mine configured in about half that time.I decided to take the leap on paddles specifically for playing Horizon: Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West. In both games, dodge-evasion and jump-aim/jump-grapple play a big part of the game’s combat mechanics. This makes the right-thumb have to do extra-acrobatics between X, O, and R-stick.So, I’ve mapped X-jump to the L-paddle and O-evade to the R-paddle and it’s made a big difference in both melee engagements and with quickly grappling to higher ground in H:FW. Being able to evade an attack while also being able to keep the camera on your attacker or pan for a redoubt position is quite nice, too.I’ve only been playing for two days with this setup and I’m already feeling it was a worthwhile upgrade. Haven’t tried with other games, but have some ideas with similar rogue, FPS and racer “tweaks”.Pros:- Easy installation and button mapping- Pass-thru for the headphone jack- Screen is easy to see/read in low-light envs- Solid construction and mount on controller- Has 3 profiles so you can save different configs for different games/playersCons:- Bulk/weight addition takes a little getting used to- Buttons are a little more “clicky” than the default controller buttons, again, just took a little getting used to.As for the silicon stick-caps, they’re a nice “gimme” pack-in item. I have zero need for the super-tall set, but the short ones do add a nice bit of ridge and softness to the stock sticks.

Headphone jack is useless, otherwise great unit.
Great buttons, solid lockup with the controller. Design is slick and button selection works as intended. However, when trying to use the headphone port in conjunction, the audio is scratchy and cuts out. I tested three different headphones, and with old and new versions of the PS4 controller, all with the same issue. Returned it since I can't use it in this state, which is rather unfortunate. I really liked it, and I am trying to find other solutions around this, but in this stage of the PS4's life cycle, it might not be worth it.If you plan on using this without using its headphone port, it's great. For those of us who need to use the headphone port, try something else.

Nyko back button attachment is great!
I love this product mainly because of how it feels if u are looking for back padddles this is the one for you.Sony Brought out their playstation 4 DualShock back button, for around $50 but the nyko version is the exact same easy to work etc i have compared and contrasted both and come to the conclusion that the Sony one maybe the tiniest bit better but price whise for the long run the nyko version, its cheaper and just as good!
