Great concept and easy to hang it around the plant. I would not recommend putting it on the top soil as some soil would stick to it. It is better to hang it on top or near the plant, using the bag tie provided in the package. A instructions sheet would be good for first time users.

Delightful storytelling brought to life in one of the best audiobooks I’ve ever heard! I highly recommend this title for all ages. My family and I finished the whole audiobook on the outset of a weekend road trip. We don’t always see eye to eye (to put it mildly), but we all agreed that Toro was wonderful. We couldn’t get enough of it and really didn’t want it to end. The listening experience was so engaging that we felt like we were in Spain, experiencing the story firsthand. And we found ourselves discussing (or, at times, quoting) the audiobook over the weekend. There’s so many memorable characters. The pig and the cowboys literally made us laugh out loud. I hope there’s a sequel and a film version. I could see this being like a Pixar movie or even like the Babe movies or that Jungle Book with real people and realistic looking animals. We’ll definitely be listening to this one again soon!

I wanted to review this book before getting it for my nephews who asked me about Spain’s running of the bulls since we heard a news story about it being cancelled this year. Not only is this book a great way to explain the event but it has instant classic potential that I could see Pixar making this into an animated movie. This is also a genuine way to teach my nephews about women’s rights and equality since the cow in the story wants to break convention and run with the bulls. This was enjoyable at any age. I’m 52 and found myself quite engaged the whole time! Looking forward to the movie adaption!

Toro will grab your attention instantly with rich and endearing characters for all ages. Alicia never loses the fire within her as she journey’s through life’s struggles and triumphs. The lesson embedded in this well-crafted story is that we must stay true to ourselves and hold steadfast to our dreams. In nurturing our heart’s desire, perhaps we too will find ourselves and love along the way.

I’m so glad we bought this audio book! Both my son and daughter love Toro! The characters are well developed and entertaining. It’s refreshing to see a strong female character with Spanish heritage as the lead. We will be buying the print version when available, and would love to see this as an animated film. It has all of the components of great storytelling and instills important messages that benefit both young and adult readers. We would love to read more by this author!

Might be interesting to young readers. Found it juvenile, predictable, and slow moving. Regret buying it as it did not live up to the recommendation.

This was a beautiful story about perseverance and having the courage to follow our own dreams despite the obstacles that life throws our way. My children absolutely adored this book, so much so that they asked me to read it again as soon as it was finished!

I wasn't sure what I would think about this story, but it was captivating and adorable with bravery and strength woven throughout. I think audiences of all ages would enjoy.
