It cools to a certain extent.
It does make a difference, however don't expect to stick this in a room-temp bottle and expect it to make it ice cold. I think it helps to keep a cold bottle cold for longer, rather than cool down a warm bottle. I don't regret buying it. It's good quality material. Just don't expect it to do wonders.

Disappointing packaging
Returned this item right away! Not because of the quality but because of the damaged package..it was supposed to be a gift so it didn’t work! As for the quality it’s good

Very inconvenient
The stick does get nice and chill and the bottle opener works. However you need to finish half your drink before sticking the stick in. And even then the gas starts to bubble up to the top constantly
