Best option overall
I have used Helmsman for years ask the wooden boat crew. I have used it with super protection from the sun, weather, moisture of any kind including heavy rain, any kind of metal and even boots. Last adventure was to spray it all over the artificial flowers that I use in the broiling Florida sun. The are still pretty close to original color four years later.

Slow drying time, but levels out beautifully.
I have used this product for at least two decades for fine finishes on furniture and yacht work. It produces a beautiful and durable finish.It does leave an amber cast to light colored wood; however in my applications that is not a problem as I usually work in Mahogany and Teak.I do not use this product outdoors.
