GENUINE OPTIVISORS - Optivisor #10, Magnification 3 1/2 X at 4"

I've been thinking about getting one of these ever since I first worked with a man who used one constantly (he was a gunsmith, and I was his apprentice). That was a bit over 50 years ago. Now I need something to dig out splinters and rose thorns, and this works much better than the jeweler's eye loupe that I had been using. Get the 2.5X Optiloupe accessory - well worth it!

I looked at dozens of different magnifiers, and finally settled on this one. No need to buy the ones with multiple lenses, etc. They are overkill. The 3 1/2X magnification of this item is perfect. As a Make-Up-Artist, I have used Opti-Visors to fine tune my make up applications for many years . This pair, however , will have to be returned as I am having difficulty seeing out of them . It is possible that the magnification is too strong for me. I will try to exchange them for the right magnification for me.

The genuine Optivisor is a high quality product. It's definitely better than the copies. I've bought both and wound up giving the copies away. The fit is comfortable, the focus is spot-on, and the glass optics are long lived and scratch resistant.I bought the #10 for working on HO scale LP's (little people) and for building fine-scale resin rolling stock. (I keep two Optivisors on the bench so I can switch quickly between them. Changing lense plates is too much trouble.)The 4" focal length of the #10 takes some getting used to - it's very close to your face! But, boy, I sure can see more details than with the other one.

This optivisor is of high quality, arriving super fast in the mail. If you do any kind of jewelry making hobbies, I would highly recommend this product to cut down on eye strain.

I kinda expected these to be any thing but Genuine "Optivisor" but they were as advertised priced right and delivered to my door, How does it get any better than that
