Not a book for the lonely.
I loved Fearne Cotton's previous book, Happy, and I did find it helpful but I'm disappointed by Calm. It's very much a book for family, for parents, for people who are loved and those who have a strong support network. If you're alone, you have no family, no "tribe" to belong to and are trying to deal with your anxieties by yourself then this book will probably make you feel worse about your life.In some ways I felt the books were reversed - Happy made me feel calm whereas this one seems to be more about being safe and secure within a family group. It left me feeling depressed and isolated.

Fearne cotton is a mastermind in every mental health snippet!
To put into simple terms - fearne cotton is simply an INSPIRATION.this being the final book of hers, as I read her other two - happy and quiet.and I can say that every single one of them has been a complete revolution into the depths and tangles of mental heath and she has done it in such a joyful, descriptive, honest, witty way, that just draws you into every page and just makes you feel so enlightened and that much better about life in general and almost a middle finger up to mental health.then you have the exercises which range in such a beautiful way and context cos it's not your bog standard write a list, it's the presentation, the layout, the way she wants to you to get your brain working and express yourself.I am just in total awe of how brilliant, and so well defined fearne cotton is as a person, and I feel so delighted that I made the choice to purchase her books.it's one of those moments, where you just feel like you want to meet them in person to say have much you appreciate there work and Just say a massive thank you.

Fantastic book - my life saver
I was optimistic on opening this, I’m a huge fan of Ferne and thought I would give it a go. I’ve been through some troubling times of late. Reading through the pages and doing the little pieces of self help, reading other people’s words and guidance really really helped me! A must purchase if you need a little help. Thank you Ferne!! So grateful..
After getting the worst news of my life, I needed something, anything, to keep Calm for my loved ones and myself. That's when I found this book, willing to try anything I dived right into it and devoured it all in less than a day. And unbelievably, given the circumstances, I found Calm. I am eternally grateful to Fearne for writing this! And her friends for their input. She is so down to earth that she is so easy to relate to. And the breathing techniques are good, I never knew I was a breath holder until I paid attention. Breathing in big belly gulps of air has been a high! And so many brilliant techniques to just learn how to 'be'. Definitely highly reccomended.

Would recommend to anyone understress and in need of me time
Only at the beginning of this book. But currently got a lot of stresses going on and it helps, have already bought book for a family member. Would recommend to anyone understress and in need of me time.
