OK but be aware its written for an American audience
Given how Straub is a French brand I was surprised when I opened this book and discovered it was an American publication. So unfortunately the recipes are all in cups and Fahrenheit with no metric conversions which is a pain, but not an insurmountable problem. But then you also get recipes for odd things like grits, fried chicken and doughnuts which I wasn't expecting either. I'd been hoping for recipes that would allow me to make best use of my cocotte pans, but there are surprisingly few of those. Instead skillet and grill pan recipes seem to predominate, and when cocottes do get used it can be for some odd purposes (e.g. as a deep fat fryer for doughnuts or fried chicken). There are some casserole type recipes in there but not many, and they're not exactly modern or exciting either (e.g. coq au vin, beef bourguignon). Overall I was disappointed, but then I'd been expecting something rather different. The book itself is beautiful to look at and well illustrated.

Excellent up to date cook book. Love love love it.
Totally love this book. I thought it might disappoint and be really a book to sell Staub pots, and be a bit out of date.... I was so wrong. In fact it is an excellent, up to date cook book where each recipe is full of flavor. I have tried a few and I love this book. And yes the Staub stuff looks great in each photo, but so what. It’s a lovely book and I recommend it. 10 out of 10.

Awesome food is contained inside
The Recipes are fairly complex but in most cases you can simplify them if needed. The end result however is spectacular, it's really good and the quality of food matches the quality of cookware it's made in. If you have a staub and you're looking for ideas on what to make in it this book will deliver.

delicious recipes easy to read and execute - love my Staub cooker - so versatile, and this cookbook covers a wide range of meal possibilities - all courses.
