Beginner friendly.
I put in a pre-order ages ago since I heard about the book and was quite excited to see what was in it. I've really enjoyed the videos and the explanations in them have been pretty easy to understand in areas I'm not versed in. Therefore when I heard there was going to be a book I thought I needed to have it. Overall I'm pretty impressed with it. Lots of beautiful photography inside, instructions clear and easy to follow (my opinion) and some great ideas. That said I was a little disappointed in other areas. For a channel primarily to do with baking I was a little perplexed at the ice cream section. I suppose this is great for someone interested in making ice cream but as someone who isn't for me those pages could've gone to more baking related recipes. Lastly I thought the pages at the end that are basically stencils could've been used for more recipes also. I thought a simple website link at the beginning or end of the book could've been used to link these stencils plus perhaps a load more. Though in fairness again I have no idea how difficult and how much time it takes to think up recipes, make them beginner/Intermediate friendly and then actually do them successfully. A lot I assume get thrown out the window so I do cut some slack.I'd still recommend the book for the price, though some might want to hold out and pick it up a bit cheaper.

Beautifully presented but unfriendly to vegetarians
The book is beautifully presented with well written recipes and lovely accompanying photos. Unfortunately many of the recipes require gelatin including recipes I would not normally expect to find gelatin and does not provide advice on making these recipes suitable for vegetarians.

Wait! I can do this I find myself thinking for once.
I love cookbooks but often find myself never trying the things inside as the ingredients are costly, hard to come by as I live in rural Norway and seems rather hard to make/bake. However after reading in this book I find myself wanting to try and make most of the things. The way things are written and the pictures and such just filles me with baking joy. I really love the part were they show you the cupcakes and show how different things are with different type of fat ect.. learning a lot! I look and think oh I got that, I can do this.. oh its not really that hard. So if your just getting one cookbook this year this is the one to get. Hate to cut this short but I got some baking to do <3

Not Vegetarian friendly and same recipes as on her channel
I love Ann Reardon and have followed her YouTube channel since the early days. I was so excited about her first book but unfortunately I’ve been left a bit disappointed.Firstly a lot of the recipes use gelatine which as a vegetarian I can’t use and I haven’t found any suggestion in the recipes as to alternatives to use.Secondly, I’ve seen so many of these recipes already on her channel. I get that she’s looking to monetise off content she’s already created but I was expecting, rightly or wrongly, to be surprised by every page and I was left thinking ‘oh yeah I remember when she posted that video on her channel’.

Best cookery book I’ve ever owned!
I have been so excited to receive this book since it’s announcement! And I finally received it today, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to read.It has very clear, and easy to follow steps and recipes. The book also has templates for some of the recipes! I’ve never seen this in a cookery book before, very unique and helpful. The book also has a good variety of dessert recipes, cakes, ice creams, pastries etc.
