Compared to much more expensive brands (like the one your school's bookstore carries) this set is lacking somewhat in quality, but for the quantity of pieces and the price, the slight decrease in quality is worth the purchase. My only concern is wear on the pieces over time which the more expensive brands don't tend to experience, but we shall see. The "sticks" of the molecules do not attach as securely as other brands, but depending on the user this can be a good characteristic as it makes them easier to use, or a bad characteristic as they take less jostling before coming apart.
