I just started putting these in myvrain barrels and my bird bubbler. So far I pleased with the reduction of blood-sucking mosquitoes. The true test will be mid summer next year.

My boyfriend and I purchased a fountain for our newly renovated backyard and because it was summer, I suddenly started to notice little baby mosquito larvae wiggling in the water so... I saw this and ordered it. Within 24 hours, the pellets killed the larvae. Unfortunately though, the pellets don’t really dissolve so if you have a black fountain like me, you can see the pellets at the bottom which tends to make it now look dirty.

Worked perfectly to keep those pesky little bugs out of my flower pots. All you have to do is crumble them and spread the particles on the dirt in the pot and water the granules to activate them.

I'm having great success with these, which are easier to use than the BTi corn imo.I like being able to use only 1/4 tsp for smaller containers of water 5 to 50gal.Because each pouch has about 2 tsp inside, it goes a long way.Used every other day with some clean water, this has nearly eliminated my fungus gnats.If there are any left after two or three weeks of this, they are probably hitching a ride onsomeone's clothing. Great stuff Bonide, and thanks Amazon for helping me find it.

I love this product and have been using it for years. We live in a swamp (really). The Bonide pouches are easy to throw into the swamp and dissolve almost immediately, spreading out over the water. The product stops mosquitoes from hatching and does not hurt any wildlife that lives in the swamp. The mosquitoes used to be so bad around our house that going outside in the summer was not an option. Since we started using the Bonide pouches, we no longer get swarmed by mosquitoes. Yes, we still have mosquitoes but not as many. These pouches can be thrown into any standing water to stop mosquitoes from hatching. I would highly recommend them.

Using them in my rain barrels which also currents have tadpoles in them. Tadpoles are growing nice and healthy and there are no mosquito larvae swimming around.

One of the big difference in these little packets and donuts is how they disperse. When you drop the packets into the water, they fall to the bottom. You cannot divide the packets into smaller amount. The donuts float on the top, plus I can divide them into halves, quarters, or even less to treat various size bodies of water. I live in an area where we might get intermittent rain, and gully washers. My rain barrels and buckets regularly overflow. Having the ability to treat the water with only the amount they actually need, rather than a whole packet that treats "155 cubic inches" of water saves me money in the long run.
