Exactly what I needed as a self-standing thermometer. It has marks for if i want soft or hard candy which is great!

We bought this in Jan 2018 and it works great. We need another of the same but unfortunately, it's not available with Amazon GlobalStore. I'd like at least one more of this if I can get one. The tenperature readings are accurate and though it takes a little getting used to, to understand how it works during the cook process, it works great.

Candy temps are labeled and indicated well for easy monitoring of your fabulous creations. Alcohol in the glass is spread out for a nice wide red bar to read where you are at in the heating. Tried a digital unit that was sold as 'meat and candy', POS is what it was. This company has been making these things for years, and their product works without fail, it hangs there just waiting to make some goodies! Only downside on this unit (as with others) is the clip that keeps it on the pot. It does come off, at times, when you don't want it to, and can be difficult to keep on the pot of you have a staggered lip.

I was hesitant to buy these, as it didn't seem like it would make that much of a difference for when I'm baking and using chocolate. I LOVE these things. They wash well, they work in the dishwasher, it makes the chocolate stay melted for longer, it microwaves quickly, just a tad bit faster than normal, and the spout is nice. I LOVE it. You can dip strawberries and crackers and such into it easily, so it's a great size. I love that it comes with two, so I can do white chocolate and milk chocolate at the same time. It is easy to pour into other containers with the spout. My favorite feature is, again, the fact that the chocolate stays melted longer.

Perfect starter bundle with your basic essentials. I tried to make cake pops for the first time and I literally made use of everything in this kit! The pop holder was great, and has a stabilizer so on the counter, it doesn't move! Bags were perfect size in length, so you could fully wrap your cake pops. I loved the chocolate melting dish and spoon, it works so well! Easy clean up. Truly satisfied with this purchase!
