I felt they were nice and thick, cushiony, and moist, and they get hot quickly but then agajn... the heat also dissipates really quickly too. But they do help leaving you feel cleaner and refreshed, something that is hard when you become bed bound from an injury or illness. They worked when I needed them to and that is what is most important. Also I didn't notice any strong scent to them. Kind of just a general, plain cleanliness.
