I bought this robot as inspiration for one of my mechatronics class projects where we had to design from scratch a robot to shoot a basketball into a goal. This little guy helped me out alot with the design for my shooting mechanism.Needed some extra wires for the robot because I had torn one during the install. The support staff at Top Race was super responsive and helpful during this process. Would highly recommend their products to anyone.

Bought 2 of these catapults for grandchild gifts. So glad we assembled one first as it was difficult for an adult , impossible for a child to assemble. Unfortunately we will return both because the catapult feature doesn’t work. Packaging and appearance are great. Instructions are poor and difficult to follow. The assembled robotic toy functions well except for its primary function of catapulting- zero response on that function- nada- nothing - zip sooooo frustrating! Have to return it!!!!

Both of my grabbers were not working and neither was the ball launcher. It seemed like an overload condition on the grabbers. So i took those gearboxes apart. The motors worked. It turned out if the housing is too tight the motors get overloaded and draw too much current and the controller stops motor motion. I added silicone lube and then did not over tighten the gearboxes and it solved the issue. It is a weird problem that seems to have occured after having the robots in the warehouse for a while because all the gearboxes were supposedly tested (they have an inspection sticker) and all my 3 non functional parts are actually functional. It was the same for the ball launcher gearbox. I actually had to leave out 2 screws near the motor or it would not spin. (there was 4 other screws further away i did reinstall). Fixing it is a little more advanced than the original assembly and may require some resoldering if any wires accidentally disconnect from the motor.

Christmas present, sadly 2 mechanical parts didn’t work and was returned for refund

Brought this for my grandson and he loved. it is well made and has already lasted longer than I expected it to.

I purchased this for Christmas gift and the left claw was faulty so i return/replaced it and the replacement had a faulty left claw as well..

My son got this as a gift. A little difficult for him to assemble alone. Battery cover and charging cable missing. And to top it off, it drives, it grabs, but it doesn't launch the ball. This could have been awesome.
