Clever little device. The contact area with the camera is fairly small, so with long lenses or large bodies you may get some minor wobble due to that, but the connection between the two pieces is rock solid. Very easy to mount, lock, unlock, and unmount.

It is a very convenient and easy to use accessory. I bought another one the other day. Highly recommended.

My goal is to have a quick release system, the SAME SYSTEM, I can put on EVERY camera, lens, strap tripod, monopod, or gimbal so that my camera can go from one to the other quickly without having to worry about having an Arca or a Manfrotto plate.I've tried several different quick release. Some would drop the camera on the equipment in different orientations depending on the device. Some had flimsy locking mechanisms. Some were big and bulky.This one may be the winner. It's both a quick release system AND an Arca plate! I put a mount on both cameras, on the tripod collars of my two big zoom lenses, and put two receiver on my double camera strap, and one on my monopod. On my tripod I already had a ball head with an Arca plate so I simply remove the existing plate and use the receiver in the ball head jaws.So far it's been easy to use, quick to implement, simply to lock, and they haven't shown any sign of loosening. Could be cheaper since it's surely a cheap Chinese product but so far they working great.

I appreciate the metal construction and ease of use of this thing. However the red button easily gets pushed into "lock" mode without a lot of signifying feedback to let you know it's locked. When it is, the thing won't click into place, or allow the quick release to release. Yet, you can still kind of press the button in, even though it's supposed to be locked. Makes me wonder why even have a lock mode if this is meant to be taken off and on quickly? Anyway, I missed a few shots because I was too busy futzing with it and trying to figure out what the heck I was doing wrong. A 2.0 version of this should either do away with lock mode, or make the quick release lock in some other way apart from sliding the button.

I have a Canon R6 that in connected this quick release plate to. I quickly tested it around the house for 2 days and saw that I did not manage to hit the two buttons to release it while having a camera strap attached. This would allow me to have the camera and strap attached, but when needed, I could detach the strap within seconds and connect it to a tripod if needed. It worked well without issue, after the two days when I was shooting a wedding.Recommended.
