HaywardAXV055P Turbine Bearings 2-Pack

Exactly what i needed

This is the second time I've ordered these bearings and the second time I received these stupid white bearings. What is the world is going on? My pool cleaner had black bearings, just like those pictured in the description, but I keep getting these white bearings that are too large and don't even have the proper grooves in them to fit into the bracket.

The wrong bearings are in the right bag. Matching part number on the bag AXV055P but it's the wrong part in the bag. Does not match the picture and does not fit. Went to the local pool store. Paid more but it was the right part.

My Hayward Pool Vac didn't seem it's vigorous self recently. I cleaned the pre-filter, checked for obstructions at the turbine, and made sure it's speed setting was on fast; all good. Since I had recently replaced the (4) rubber foot pads along with the (2) wings it was time to operate! After opening up the Hayward Ultra Pool Vac to expose the turbine system I noticed that one of the bearings was missing some of the bearings due to the center chase having moved out of position. These aren't the most well made bearings; the chase and outer walls are plastic. They weren't designed to withstand extreme forces. They were made to be water-proof ; plastic and stainless steel. The original bearings on my Ultra Pool Vac lasted about 8 + years. I probably could have let replacing them go for another year, but I like keeping my tools in top condition. Also I like working on stuff. It should be another 8 years before they need replacing since I used original Hayward parts. Price was very reasonable here on Amazon. Just a quick heads up: the center chase is indexed with a notch which must be aligned with the mating protrusion on the turbines' axles. Seating it in the bearing; this notch prevents the axle from just slipping in the bearing. Also, the "chase" I keep referring to is the center wall of the bearing. It is what actually spins with the axle allowing smooth , low surface friction.

The Hayward pool vac turbine bearing 2- pack was the right part number AXV055P but the bearings in the pack were not the right ones. I went to a pool supply and purchased the right ones. Same part number. The pool store said Hayward changed the bearings on the new units and were to also change the part number. They miss packaged these. The picture and part number are correct but the ones shipped were white, smaller, wider and had no slots on them. I returned them to Amazon for refund.
