Expensive looking mount for low price.
These are awesome. Very good quality. They have so far survived many journeys bouncing over logging roads. You can safely mount them vertically or flat on the bed of the truck. I mounted them a bit differently; I have a box topper that has hinges, so in the back of the box of my truck there is a slotted piece of metal. I used wing-nuts as non-turn bolts in the back of this slot and just slid them on. It works great and I didn't have to put any holes in my truck! You could do something similar with a piece of wood. The best thing about these is that they keep your bike from touching any other bike or rubbing on anything like those tailgate pads do. Also, it looks really professional and expensive. I've seen $300 bicycle mounts that look less professional than these relatively cheap mounts.

Versatile, great product for creating your own bike mount
I just recently bought my wife and I new bikes for casual, weekend use. As I had just dropped a fair amount of money on the bikes, I was looking for a cheap mounting option. I have a pickup truck and saw these and figured I could rig something up relatively inexpensively. I was correct. The price was right with this particular product. You will see when looking at other items that there are more expensive versions available. I can't imaging what they would offer over these to justify the price. They are easy to use, have numerous mounting options (use your imagination), and are lockable if you need a little added security. I see no reason to pay more, unless you just like having the Thule or Yakima logos to look cool.As far as I can tell you could mount these just about however you like, including directly to your bed. I didn't want to do that, so I looked around on Google and saw what some other folks did for a removable solution. I blended a few ideas together and used some 2x6's to create a simple, cheap, and removable option. I was very surprised and pleased to see how solid the bikes rode when clamped in. They didn't seem to move an inch.I have no negatives to list for this product. I haven't had them long, so they only thing I can't attest to is durability in weather. I do not plan to leave mine out when not in use, so that shouldn't be a factor for me.So, in summary, if you are looking for a cheap, sturdy, versatile mounting option for a truck, just buy these and save yourself some money.

Pretty heafty! We will see how it goes...
I have a 29" XC bike that will not fit in the back on a tacoma with both wheels on so I bought this to attach to a custom rail system I built for my 2022 Toyota Tacoma. It feels well built, thick, and sturdy... just like the captain of the softball team.If you raise the front fork roughly 18.5 inches, you can close the tailgate. Barely. The snug fit hold the bike in place with the front fork locked into the mount.I'm driving from NC to upstate NY to bike in the Adirondacks. I'll drive back in a week. It'll be 1800 miles round trip. I'll update this when I return with (or without) the bike in the back of the truck. Wish me luck.UPDATE: Made it there and back safely. Mount is awesome. It worked well for what I needed.

product feels very solid in terms of quality
The product is quite solid. I am very happy with the build quality. the locking feature is one major reason I bought this product over others that did not have it. The skewer locks down good and solid once you get the nut end tightened up good. The only thing I have to say is the width makes the fit between the forks a little tighter than I thought it would be, but not enough to say don't buy this product. I have a ~2015 Norco Storm 9.2
