Great product but very less quantity for the price

First of all, the product came in well on time, in fact a whole day early, which I am happy about. I however was disappointed when opening the package. Unless I am missing something or just ordered the wrong thing, the package and paint inside doesn't seem to be how it is shown in the images, so that is just a little bit weird. Not only that though, but when I opened it up, the brown paint was leaking and had a small rip in the side and there was messy brown paint that was wasted and I had to clean up. This is a disappointment because it is a waste of paint that I paid for and it was not cheap. Moving on, I did test the paint and it seemed to be good quality for beginners and maybe even intermediary painters, so I would recommend it in that sense. It also has a good viscosity and thickness to it. I did also find that the white paint seemed to be a little skimpy in that the tube wasn't completely full. This as well as the brown leaking and being partially wasted is annoying because they are some of the more important paint colors and I am annoyed to see this. Overall, the paint is good quality and I would reccomend, but I did not receive the package in great condition or standards.

This was a wonderful starter kit for me. I had to start painting* and didn't know where to begin, so I went with a kit. This paint goes on smoothly, though there were/are some colors that the paint itself was lumpy (but once you mixed it, it applied smoothly.) I was a bit disappointed in the opacity of the colors not being the same (or even close.) Some colors a single coat was fine, while others needed 2-3. Not talking about white, either. The black and primary yellow aren't so good. I have found that MARS BLACK and CADMIUM YELLOW are great additions to this kit for the opacity reason stated. I've also purchased a heavy body professional Titanium White that ended up being not a lot better than the basic white provided here (well, it is, but it's not worth the $$ yet for a beginner, IMO.) *Yes, I HAD to start painting. I volunteered to host an an event, which was later turned into a painting event, and the actual painting instruction was left to me. I started watching and painting along with YouTube videos to learn some things. The kit was a killer foundation for me. I later bought the giant box of 48, but after using realized that was overkill for my 101 skills.

They are great paints (truly an amazing acrylic for the price) but the one issue is the lack of a true red. The box only contains 2 different magenta's and mixing a true red without losing vibrancy is difficult to near impossible. Magenta is better for mixing other colors but if you want to literally paint a red......... You're kinda out of luck.
