Soothing and Relaxing
This CD is a perfect accompaniment to a yoga class. My yoga instructor introduced me to it. It would also be perfect to use while doing reiki or massage. But I love to play it while eating dinner. The chants are gentle and calming and sound more like lullabies than mantras. The music is soothing and relaxing, and helps release the stress of the day.So it makes a perfect backdrop anytime you want to tune into inner peace. Djuna Wojton author of Karmic Healing. The same other side
I had pre-conceived notions of what I wanted from this follow up to the original Namaste soundtrack. They were not met and I put the disc away for a while. One day I decided to play it while driving...my pre-conceived notions were corrected and the track is now at the top of my favorites. See, change can be a good thing. It may even open your mind.

Namaste 2 Review
Another great CD for a quiet or slower flow practice. I use this CD at the beginning and at the end of my classes when teaching a Vinyasa or Power Flow class. And for my Yin Yoga, this CD is used for the entire class. My students love this music and I also recommend it to fellow instructors.

these are actual 'songs' while the selections on "Namaste" feel more like musical prayers
In my small therapeutic massage practice, there are three soundtracks that get the most commentary: "Namaste" (first edition), "Shamanic Dream" (also, first edition) and a lesser-known work, "Rain Dance" by the Chinese healer/artist Woo Du-An, aka Rob Whitesides-Woo. These are the 'workhouses' in my studio but I can now add another to the trio with "Namaste II". It takes a slightly different path as the original collection in that the compositions are decidedly less reflective and more traditional in composition; these are actual 'songs' while the selections on "Namaste" feel more like musical prayers. We are graced with the heavenly voices of Deborah Van Dyke and the female half of Rasa, Kim Waters. One of the compositions, "Om Mani Padme Hum" is a mantra that will be easily recognized by any of your clients who might be yoga devotees and is beautifully rendered here by Van Dyke. The cd is rounded out by other, equally beautiful invocations and songs from Shantala and Karunesh. Recommended.

unobtrusive
I've been teaching yoga for 12 years, This is great mix, some rhythm in the beginning for warm-ups, but not overpowering of your own cues and teaching. Relatively mellow overall and good for a beginning to Intermediate Flow class. Pretty chill on the end for the cool down/yin part of class.

Ok, but Namaste I is better
I purchased Namaste I and absolutely loved it! Naturally, I was excited to hear what Namaste II had to offer. Although II was ok, I personally loved the first CD better. Both the music and the guided meditation was better, in my opinion.

Blissful listening!
A fantastic compilation. I used it for my yoga classes recently and students were commenting on it and asking about the songs. It's arranged nicely for a one-hour class (64 minutes long), and the arc of the music fits a yoga sequence extremely well. Lovely compositions. I listen to it just for pleasure.

Just as good as it's predecessor
The predecessor to this album received 5 Stars and a glowing review from myself... Surely Namaste II couldn't possibly be as good? Trust me.. it is !!!There are a few yoga CD's (like 'Bhakti Bazaar' and 'Yoga Rhythms') that are well-establised as being amongst the best yoga albums out there. 'Namaste' and 'Namaste II' are destined to join that group. You may not understand the songs (I don't), but the melodies and tunes allow you to drift off and go deeper into your asanas. For my day job I am a Dental Therapist and I play this music in my surgery and even my non-yoga patients often comment about the lovely, relaxing music that I have playing... and let's face it, if this music relaxes dental patients I think that you can rest assured that it is going to relax you too...Enjoy
