Waypoint Geographic Voyager Globe Toy

My son loves this globe.

This globe looks as good as advertised, which is not always the case. I prefer the lighter look of this coloring scheme. It is an attractive globe. The packaging could have been more substantial; the upper pin on the arm was out of the socket when it arrived. Some globes are advertised with a "die cast" meridian arm and it turns out to be plastic. I didn't know you could "die cast" plastic. If the ad doesn't say "metal" it probably isn't. However, this one really does have a metal arm. The base appears to be real wood. The quality of this product seems good considering the price. Some of the longitude lines don't quite run true, but these discrepancies are mostly in the oceans. I was ready to pay $150 - $200 for better quality, but there is very little out there in that price range. The scale given on this globe is incorrect. It says 1 inch = 947 miles. The globe is 12 inches in diameter; the earth is 7926 miles in diameter. That works out to be 1 inch = 660 miles, not 947. Overall I am quite satisfied with this globe for the price. Judging from all the complaints about the quality of Replogle globes, I would recommend looking at Waypoint Geographic's products.

Not perfect. But it seems impossible to find a good globe anywhere. There are parts that are not perfectly aligned and therefore distort the map so it is not totally accurate. I did go for this one because the other globes on Amazon seem to have fake reviews and figured this one was the one with the most accurate reviews. Note that the color of the stand is light woo color.
