Works but with very little view area. Device shows up in photo taking up much of the photo when used with a Galaxy S7.

Nice idea but the craftsmanship is horrid
The mirrors were not well aligned leaving a huge black swath down the center of the frame. Nice idea but the craftsmanship is horrid.

yeah whatever
The mirrors aren't straight and can't be adjusted because they are glued in. Does not use prisms, just mirrors. The clip is too small for my cellphone camera.

Easy to use 3D lens
This 3D lens is very simple to assemble and mount to your cell phone. I had an otter box case on my phone, which I had to remove in order to get the lens to line up correctly. It does have a nice rubberized grip on the clip which secures it nicely without damaging your phone. It does take a little bit of time to get it centered correctly. You will need 3D glasses to view the images in 3D. These are not included. This lens is lightweight and compact, which makes it more portable. The instructions on the box are very easy to follow. The photos do have a center line due to the refraction of the mirrors. Overall, I believe this product does exactly as it states.*I received this discounted product in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

How to make this thing actually work.
The design is almost right, but the execution is terrible. First off, the first mirrors that the camera sees should really be front-surface mirrors and instead they used rear-surface mirrors. The assembly is shoddy enough that there's a gap between the mirrors and even if you pull the mirrors off and reassemble them in the proper location yourself, you'll find that the bevels don't line up to give you a 90-deg angle with the rear (actual reflecting) surfaces touching. Good luck reshaping the glass bevel without chipping it and making things worse. After you shave the mirrors and get the bevel lined up, you'll find the the plastic piece that the mirrors are glued to is visible beyond the mirrors, making up the rest of that big line down the middle. I trimmed the plastic back to behind the mirrors with a hack saw and box cutter, which made a world of difference. Once you've dealt with the big line down the middle, you'll find that the thick adhesive backing on the mirrors moves them out of alignment just enough that the parallax doesn't quite line up. Scrape 99% of the horrible tacky adhesive off (being careful not to scratch the mirror backing off) then stick the mirrors back where they go. Next (on the iPhone 6+ anyway), you'll have to shim the outside edge so the lens sits as straight as possible over the camera lens to minimize the shoddy parallax alignment issues. Finally, once you've addressed all of that, you'll find that the housing angle itself is just a little too narrow as you can see the frame of the housing around all four borders of the picture. If you digitally zoom in just a bit, you can get rid of this halo without making the center line too bad. After a couple hours with a hacksaw, box cutter, shims, and a sapphire file, I have this thing working well enough that I can shoot stills or video and view them with my crappy generic stick-your-phone-in-it VR headset without any visible artifacts. Not like $12 is a lot of money, but if you're going to bother making a product, it should at least work when it's brand new. If someone would make a $50 stereoscopic lens that actually didn't suck, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately that makes this cute little device useless.
I tried this on both a Galaxy Note 2 and a Galaxy S7 Edge. In both cases the images and videos had a big line between the left and right eye so you don't get a stereoscopic 3D rendering. Unfortunately that makes this cute little device useless.

Make an app to fix the line problem.
If there were an app to scrub the hokey looking line in the middle I'd be fine with the product. As is, the pictures are an embarrassment to share.

Toy is the key word here
Total junk. A complete waste of money. Toy is the key word here.
