Petzilla Pet Birthday Hat for Small Cats & Dogs, Cake & Candles Design Pink PBH-1

The hat is cute but the elastic string is quite rigid and not stretchy to go around the dog’s head (perhaps this was used and returned before?)The candles also fall down so they don’t look like candles. I’d return it but I threw the packaging away by accident so will probably try to “retrofit” with new elastic and a way to make the candles stand up. That will probably cost more than the hat. If it doesn’t work, I’ll just give it to someone at the dog park or throw it away.

This hat is so so so CUTE!!!!My baby girl looked super cute for her 1st birthday party! I noticed some of you commented about the hat not standing up right. I just stuffed it with some tissue paper and Walaa... it fit perfectly!

As you can see from the photo, the string used to tighten this on your pet's head isn't put on correctly. Both strings should be going through the gizmo with the spring. That holds the one string effectively, but the other string just glides through. One end of the string needed to be affixed to the gizmo with the other end free to tighten or loosen and the spring part holding it in place. With a quick fix, I accomplished this as you can see in the next photo. The low rating for this product is because I should not have to fix their item for it to work.

hats arrived squished, the candles floppy (couldn't make them stand up)...looked better online than in person. we ordered both a pink & a blue hat...both arrived in the same condition. returned for a refund.

This hat was just okay. Some of the threading on the candles was coming out. The string wasnt stretchy so it made it difficult to get a good fit. The candles didnt stand up on the hat. So it kinda made it look like my dog had several male body parts coming out of his birthday hat. I will look for something better next year.
