Great price, Great product always on hand
I was looking for shelf stable tofu to add to my pantry. I like having products available so there are no last minute runs to the store or menu changes. This Tofu is very smooth and firm. I usually fry it, which this one does well with, but if you are as smoothy person you'll be very pleased. Great for your back up food for emergencies or last minute meals on a school night.

Prices out of control!! So convenient to have on hand but recent prices are insane
Update: It’s a great deal at $20 a case. But recently it’s gone up to $40 a case which is completely insane. At that price it’s cheaper to make your own tofu from scratch (easy to do too!)Original review: I truly love this brand and style of packaging. They have various "flavors" available; yuzu (my fav served with blackberry preserves), edamame (good with braggs aminos) and the normal plain type (served with a tablespoon of tamari/shoyu and a splash of toasted sesame oil or chili oil). I keep these on hand for protein snacks when I'm too busy to cook. It's a nice consistency too. For cooking I usually choose nasoya extra-firm for air frying or stir fries. This mori-nu is best for vegan scrambled eggs, smoothies etc. Cheaper than making my own tofu given the time saved and the convenience of storing it at room temperature. A really great food for prepping, convenience and snacks. Nom, nom, nom!

Tofu ounces
I got what I paid for, 10.9 oz x12.The picture unfortunately shows 12.3 oz packages. That's what I thought I was buying. However, the information shows 10.9 oz packages. It was misleading picture wise only. The description was correct for 10.9 oz. I wish I would have read the information closely. The picture I shared is not what was featured originally. The second picture which is 12.3 oz is what was featured originally.I took away a star because of the wrong picture and ounces featured for the tofu. Those negative points pushed aside, I like the brand and It's good quality tofu.

Great pantry staple for plant-based meals
Great pantry staple for plant-based mealsI’ve been using this Mori-Nu silken tofu for years, and it remains one of my favorite staples to keep in the pantry. The shelf-stable packaging is a huge plus—it doesn’t need refrigeration until opened, so I can always have a box or two handy without worrying about spoilage. Once opened, it has that smooth, velvety texture you expect from silken tofu, but the “extra firm” version holds its shape better than the softer varieties.I’ve used it in miso soup, smoothies, stir-fries, and even desserts like chocolate mousse. It blends beautifully into sauces and dressings while also working as a protein-rich replacement for eggs in some recipes. The fact that it’s non-GMO, vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free makes it easy to serve to guests with dietary restrictions.A couple of things to keep in mind: this is not the same as refrigerated block tofu. It won’t grill or pan-fry with a crisp edge the way firm water-packed tofu does, so it’s better for soups, stews, dressings, and creamy applications. Also, since it’s so delicate, handle gently when slicing or cubing.Bottom line: A versatile, shelf-stable tofu with a creamy yet firmer texture that makes it incredibly useful in both savory and sweet dishes. A must-have for anyone who enjoys plant-based cooking.

Great flavor and texture
This is my favorite tofu. I buy it again and again. The normal ones I find at the store don't compare.

Best Tofu! (Edit January 2022, lowered from 5 to 3 stars)
This is my favorite tofu. The local stores here stopped carrying it, so I ordered it, here.Edit January 2022.This was my favorite tofu. I've been ordering it for years. Silky smooth, delicious, soft and "weak" (despite saying firm), but I want that in my soups. This was the pinnacle of tofus. I couldn't ask for anything better.I just got a box in, and I am NOT satisfied. The texture isn't silken, at all! I buy this, specifically for the smooth texture, as it is amazing in my miso soup. The flavor is fine, but the texture of this is like the rough, lumpy, grainy stuff I buy at the grocery store. The expiration date says October 1, 2022, so no problem there.I lowered the rating from 5 stars to 3, because it is still a good deal as far as consumable mass, flavor, and shelf stability.***** It just dawned on me that it may have been allowed to freeze during shipping, it being January. That would account for this decline in quality. Apparently, freezing silken tofu is a technique used by some to firm it up and change the texture to a more "meaty" one. I do not like it.
