I understand that you have to add alcohol to some products, but when something is marketed towards anti-aging and hydrating skin, I have to pause. The third ingredient [per my bottle] in Oxygen Ceuticals B5 serum is alcohol after water and sodium hyaluronate. For a $60 serum, I expect a product to be effective, formulated well, be fragrance-free (which this is as it does not have added fragrance), and not have potentially irritating or drying ingredients like alcohol. In this case, the B5 enriched serum has more alcohol in it than panthenol. Alcohol as a primary ingredient in any skincare product is a problem. When you see alcohol listed among the first six ingredients on an ingredient label, it will aggravate skin without question. At least I know from experience as I have mature, sensitive, acne-prone skin.Their ingredient list:Water, Alcohol, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Panthenol, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Adenosine Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Nelumbo Nucifera Root Extract, Dioscorea Japonica Root Extract, Saccharomyces Ferment, Oryza Sativa(Rice) Extract, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract, Artemisia Annua Extract, OxygenPlease see the included images of the packaging I received referencing the ingredient list on the box as they differ slightly.Either way, alcohol is listed as the second or third ingredient, depending on whichever list you are going by.

First, I placed a reorder of a product I purchased in the past. The product on the left was made in the USA the product that I just received was made in Korea! Enough said!!!

This B5 Gel Treatment with Hyaluronic Acid and Antioxidant Vitamin B5 is a soothing skin care treatment that hydrates the skin without causing oiliness. The formula is a thick serum that sinks into the skin very quickly. There is virtually no drying-down time needed. I use this as my moisturizer, and it helps to plump and smooth my skin. It does not pill up or cause my foundation to look different. In fact, my foundation glides on even better after using this serum. A little of this serum covers my face completely. I am very impressed with its effectiveness, especially on areas of dry spots like around my nose. I highly recommend this to anyone who is seeking hydration without oiliness.

Hyaluronic acid has 1,000 more hydration to the skin in order to keep it moisturized and plump. Vitamin B5 has anti-inflammatory properties. I give myself facials at home and sometimes I apply peels. Peels help remove dead skin on the surface and this product helps protect the new skin and seal and add additional moisture. I use it as a serum and top it off with the facial moisturizer or a really good oil: argan, carrot or any other oil that is beneficial for the skin. Oil helps push the hyaluronic acid further into the dermis.
