Essential for traditional martial artist
Excellent product. After wooden dummy practice and iron palm training this product is a life saver. Recommend for traditional martial artist. Will not take muscle pain away is not meant for that but if you have joint ache or bone bruise it is an excellent mixture it take the edge away fast. Smell like the concoction my Sifu used to put on me. I haven’t practice since I was 35 now 51 and returning to my roots I still remember everything but little rusty the aches came back after a month of practice so I needed something like the old dit da how my Sifu used on me. So if you are new or returning back to your practices I can’t recommend this product enough. Buying more.

Long-term treatment for pain and injuries.
It works okay but I wish it was a little more "potent". Or that they gave you more for your money. A better but would be Southern Fist Hung Gar Dit Da Jow from Plum Dragon to heal injuries new and old.

Impressive ingredients, poor formulation/performance
Really wanted this to be the product we were looking for, but Plum Dragon’s Ancestor’s Advanced Dit Da Jeow disappoints. It starts out well - it has many of the ingredients in the traditional formulation used in martial arts classes and households in Hong Kong, China and sold in Chinatowns throughout Southeast Asia. However, Plum Dragon has watered the formula down to the point where it does not perform anywhere near the real thing, if it does at all. We have been looking for the Dit Da Jow used on my son when he was studying martial arts - many products use the “Dit Da Jeow” moniker, but do not have the ingredients and just have menthol or camphor. Plum Dragon Ancestor’s Advanced listed the ingredients (many are esoteric to medicine cabinets in the West) and even at the price, we thought we had finally found it. Thin, watery and despite massaging and wrappings it didn’t do a thing for a sprained muscle. The traditional Dit Da Jow formulation is a dark coffee color, staining & has a medicinal/herb smell marked distinctly of Angelica & Arnica. The smell can be strong and it does stain, but the traditional stuff sure works and you are right as rain before you know it. The Ancestor’s Advance Dit Da Jow is a westernized version of the traditional stuff that may work, but we really don’t know for what - on the label it says for arthritis/persistent injuries but arthritis is pretty heavy duty & it did nothing for sprained muscle for us. For the money, and all the hype Plum Dragon’s “Advanced” Dit Da Jeow’s performance was poor and we were so disappointed. Back to our search for Dit Da Jeow, because even as “Advanced” and $30 bucks a pop, this is not it.

It is miraculous.
I've been using the Dow for 30 years, as usual my latest usage has become a Godsend. The pain in my shoulder kept me up at night, I was scheduled for x-rays and treatment at my VA clinic, then I decided to call out the Dow once again, and in 3 weeks, applications 3 times a day, my shoulder is working again with minimal pain on occasion. I know there is damage that should be x-rayed and looked at and I will have it done, but Dit Dow Jow has saved me once again.
