Easy to use.

I purchased this hoop for my Bernina 570QE. I watched all the YouTube videos and read all the reviews so was looking forward to this amazing magnetic hoop.After downloading the file to assist with centreing and putting the measuring tape stickers on correctly, I was ready to go.Firstly, it was very hard to fit on to the embroidery module. I had to push down hard on the hoop frame to lock it in place on the embroidery arm. Getting it off was even more difficult. I had to really pull upwards on the frame. Even then, it was very hard. I thought perhaps because it was new and it would become easier in time.Secondly, when I ran the centreing file, it embroidered the vertical line but when it was sewing the 45 degree line, it only went halfway before then sewing the horizontal line. So, theoretically, the centre of my hoop was 3/4 of the way from the top of the hoop!When trying to sewing the 45 degree line, the embroidery arm and hoop were obviously jamming somewhere. It was making a terrible noise.Wanting this hoop to work, I tried again, this time at the slowest speed possible for my machine. The same thing happened, the same noise was heard. I could not see where the hoop or embroidery arm were jamming.Ever the optimist, I tried a third time with exactly the same results.I did not want to damage my machine or embroidery arm so I didn't try a fourth time.I returned the hoop to Amazon for a refund.I was really looking forward to using this hoop but after three attempts to embroider the centreing line, lots of clanking noises in addition to the effort to locate the hoop on the embroidery arm and remove it, I gave up.

This hoop is great for regular weight batting, but the magnet was not strong enough to hold my project with high-loft polyester. The top hoop kept sliding out of place and cost me a lot of time ripping out stitches and starting over. Having said that, I will definitely use it for other projects! The added bonus of not having to remove the hoop every time I reposition my project makes this a worthwhile purchase.

This is a magnetic embroidery hoop. The first one I purchased many years ago is perfect. I wanted another one so I could hoop 2 and begin another project.

This is so much easier than using the traditional hoop that comes with the machine. I don’t get hoop burn anymore and the fabric never moves around when stitching. I am looking forward to purchasing the other sizes.
