I purchased the pedal commander for my Toyota Tacoma. It was a breeze to install, less than 5 mins to completely install it, run the cable and attach it to my dash. Just to be clear, the Pedal Commander does not increase your horsepower, but it gives you instant access to the horsepower you already have. I've played with all the settings and found city +4 to be ideal for my driving preferences. Once on the highway I'll switch to economy and it definitely makes a difference in milage. Sport and sport plus modes are definitely too aggressive for every day driving, but if you feel like roasting your tires a bit, these modes will get it done. It doesn't give you the same performance that a tune will give you, but if you want some pretty good performance and flexibility for considerably less money, definitely give the Pedal Commander a try.

Just installed the Pedal Commander for 3rd Gen Tacoma. For the initial test, I left it turned off to gauge the stock throttle response...and it was very laggy, as usual. I then went to Sport mode at the lowest setting -POW!...it made a huge difference right away. The throttle was crisp and immediate. Next was Sport+ at the highest setting, and SHAZAAM! -the Tacoma launched very aggressively. I will settle on regular Sport mode on setting +2, as that for me has the best response to pedal feel. This is truly an amazing product that works exactly as advertised! I'm so glad I bought this! (July 11, 2025).
