He wasn’t cast in the best light so it’s refreshing to see him renewed haven shaken the funk that led to downfall.What unsuspecting Hunter doesn’t know is that his temptation would come in the guise research project partner, Demi Davis. The fact Demi has a boyfriend reinforces just how off limits she is, and if anything lays the path to a genuine friendship that they develop.Demi is the perfect ying to Hunter’s yang. She’s sweet but tough, and gives Hunter a run for his money when it comes to their verbal sparring. When her relationship falls apart, Hunter is there as a shoulder to cry on. He’s so much more than she took him for and not long before she wants to explore things further, much to Hunter’s hesitance.Elle Kennedy did not come to Play with the latest addition to the Briar U series. The humor is ever present and it was laughs aplenty, but it was the slow burn that made this a winner for me. Hunter totally redeemed himself from the previous poor judgement I had of him, so much so he’s my favourite Briar U boy yet.

Why have I wated this long to read this book?? As always with an Elle Kennedy read I absolutely fell into this story and didnt leave until my icy heart was melting with swoon worthy moments and hot hockey gods.Hunter Davenport is just everything you'd want in a man.. Captain of the hockey team Hunter has done a lot of growing up in the past year including taking a vow of celibacy after last years champions disaster so when life throws Demi in his path he starts to struggle and realise what's hes missing out on.God the chemistry and banter between these pair was so good... love how they started off with a real friendship connection while bas boy Nico was still in the picture too.Love getting snippets of updates of the previous Briar guys especially the amazing Garrett Graham and co!I would honestly read anything that Elle writes as I always live her words.

Nossa, cada livro que leio dessa serie me apaixono mais por ele e como a Elle escreve!O Hunter é um cara maravilhoso, apesar do comportamento super pegador do ano anterior (durante os livros The Chase e The Risk), tem um coração enorme, super se preocupa com a Demi e parece ter uma responsabilidade afetiva enorme, não vou mentir que já tinha me apaixonado por ele antes desse livro, depois então... hahaha. A Demi é super cativante, direta no que quer e segura de si, além de ser uma amiga muito fo**; não sei porque mas lendo achei que ela e a Grace se dariam super bem.Torcendo muuuito que a Elle escreva a historia do Connor, que ela comenta que não consegue tirar da cabeça, porque não da pra ficar sem as historias desses jogadores maravilhosos e das meninas maravilhosas que ela sempre retrata.

Elle Kennedy has done it again! Bring you a most enjoyable read! Everything this girl writes makes you beg for more! She is amazing! The play brings together Hunter and Demi who are all about fun and flirty banter turned sexy and hot! This entire Series is a must read! Hands down favourite Author!! Elle Kennedy don’t ever stop writing!
