This an absoluely brilliant book. That really makes you understand the characters pain. Michael morpurgo is a trully amazing author and is very talented. Thanks for another exciting read!:-)

best book i've ever read by far i shared it with friends and family also not to long low amount of violence i the book.

Perhaps 2 stars is unkind. My just 9 year old granddaughter was given this for reading at the beginning of lockdown from her school. I downloaded it so we could read it together. I didn’t think the subject matter was suitable for her age group, dealing with and accident leading to blindness, an aborted suicide attempt and memory loss. After this initial half the rest of the book was a bit of a damp squid and we gave up.

We loved this book. Read it with my 9 year old son. Trying to encourage him to read more than just diary of a wimpy kid, and we both enjoyed this one. I didn't want him to read it on his own and not hear what happened next!!! Beautifully written, great for this age group, innovative, real and gripping. Highly recommend

I bought this item for a leaving present for a child who has read all the other books from Michael Morpurgo. They really enjoyed it.
