I can't fault the product, it is a good little book (134 pages) and it covers more than I was expecting ( I was interested in just vegetables) but it covers fruit shrubs, and loads of other subjects. As a complete novice to the whole home fermentation process it looks a little daunting but certainly interesting and educational . Some of the end products take only days to mature. The only challenge for me is that my place is not warm so I may have trouble achieving the incubation temperatures. However, after looking through Section 4, Your Home Fermentation Laboratory, the book does include a few suggestions on how to achieve this without resorting to using electric heat sources specifically needed to incubate. The recipes seem to be for large portions so you need to have quite a lot of equipment to do this and you are given guidance on what the basics are. Having said that, this book is for those who are making a change to including probiotics into their diet and this book covers all aspects of food from dairy, refreshing drinks, wine, beer, bread, meat, fruit and vegetables. Whey to go!
