Nice trickling fountain
Update: This is my third alpine cascading cup fountain. The first one lasted a long time, but I left it out too long in the fall and it cracked. The second one has no way to clean the tube. I took it out but cannot get it back in as the opening inside to the top is narrow. I will keep tryingI bought this 3rd one because the smaller birds love this style! The chickadees take a bath in the top regularly during the summer. It is so pleasant to watch them. I am looking for another similar type that has more space between the cups so more than one bird can take a bath. So far no luck.If anyone has any tips on how to get the water tube back on I would appreciate it! Alpine really needs to make this fountain so that the tube can be cleaned! This fountain does not leak as other reviews claimed. But when it is turned off the water flows back into the base and overflows out the back opening. One could empty the water before unplugging the fountain. Solution? Use it outside which I did on my deck to replace my heated bird bath for the summer. The birds came right to it as they love the sound of trickling water. I bought an open box and it was fine

Small and adorable!
The fountain was a really nice small fountain but too small for my screened in porch. So I returned it and bought another, larger Alpine fountain that I’m totally pleased with. If small is what you’re looking for, this is great!

Tube to short to reach bottom of fountain
Where to begin.1) main problem the tube that attaches to the pump is to short and doesn't reach the bottom. Leaving over almost 3 inches from the bottom. In other words I have to fill the fountain up till it is leaking out the back - to barely have the pump in the water and still some black is out of the water. The tube is to short and there is no way I can connect another longer tube because I can't reach my hand all the way up in there. This alone is a deal breaker. The pump can't attach to the bottom. So it just floats around. Making noise that is louder then the water effect. Then come to look at all the pots. I can see light between the 2 pots and it has a hole in it going to the inside of the fountain. Hard to explain but took a picture - not a deal breaker but just a note.So long story short. If you want a fountain that if it loses 1 cm of water the pump is exposed. And then fry. This is the unit for you.I was looking for something for inside to set and forget a while. With temps in the house around 68 all day and have a humidifier in the house. I was hoping that I didn't have to fill / check this fountain twice a day and add water to it.If the tube and the pump would actually hit the bottom of the fountain. These problems would be all gone because that will give the pump almost 2 inches of water above it and it would be a once a week add water. Instead of twice a day.Good luck with this fountain if you buy it. For me the saying goes - you get what you pay for 😂👍

Good overall, with a few minor issues
First of all, some people seem to have received rocks while others have not. I didn't, and an email to the company went unanswered so I would say don't expect them to be included. As far as the fountain itself, I like it overall. It's easy to set up, with one exception, which is that the bottom of the reservoir is not flat, nor is it completely smooth so it's difficult to find a spot for the pump to suction well. Also, the reservoir is not huge and I am finding that the water evaporates quickly so I am having to add water every couple of days, which is annoying.Otherwise, it works well. There is nice water flow and a good trickling sound. I actually found it a little bit louder than I wanted for inside even in the lowest setting, but adding my own rocks allowed me to tweak it to exactly where I wanted and I will appreciate the higher flow when I move it outside in spring.I bought it when the price was marked down significantly. I think it was worth itat that price, but I wouldn't pay full price for it unless it was tweaked a little to address the above.
