Joyful teaching and learning toddler words!
We own pretty much every "first words" book on the market, but this is the best one we've read by far. My twenty-two month old woke up this morning saying "Bobby, Bobby!" He loves this book. Unlike other first words books that are just pages and pages of labeled photos, this book is more of a story. Each word has a context and is usually used in a sentence. My son has learned more of the handful of words that appear in this book than he has learned from the books with hundreds of words. It's also more fun as a parent to teach with this book. We can talk about each page and imagine more to the story because of the format. Other first words books feel like taking or giving a quiz, which detracts from the joy of learning to talk!

This book is great for toddlers who are starting to develop their vocabulary
This book is great for toddlers who are starting to develop their vocabulary. It features many situations that a toddler can identify with, and many objects which they encounter in their day to day lives. There is an interactive element to the book in the form of asking the reader simple questions, which is great for encouraging some back and forth dialogue. My daughter has learned to say several words from reading this book over and over again. The pictures are colorful and fun to look at, and book itself is well designed to withstand wear and tear. It would make a great gift for a child's 1st birthday!

One of our best purchases.
This is my daughter's favorite book (she is 18 months old). It has been instrumental to her learning multiple new words in a short time period. She even likes to sit quietly and look at the pictures for long periods of time too. We are looking for more books by this author/publisher because we are so pleased with this book.

Sweet book for toddlers
Adorable book for toddlers that uses sweet little animals to show Bobbies growing independence, ftiends, affectionate parents and many other things. The 5 fabric tabs on the pages add a nice tactile touch, and help those little hands turn the pages. My 2 year old granddaughter loves this sweet book.

so far, not so good. mixed. sometimes, kids like it, most times, they don't. pictures are great. the side bookmarks are made of fabric, not paper so they wont rip. it seems fun to me, but for toddlers.....I dunno.......ill keep trying.....I guess any book is hit or miss.....I don't regret buying it.

Perfect book for my one-year-old
Perfect book for my one-year-old. He absolutely loves it & looks for it first thing in the morning. Great illustrations and simple words for toddler to understand. Plus, the tabs on the side are perfect for little hands to touch.

14 month old loves this book!
Our 14 month old girl loves this book! It's her favorite (at least for the moment -- she's kind of fickle) and she always pulls it off the shelf first for us to read to her.
