This product is excellent and performs exactly as promised and expected. I use it every day professionally and it has been well worth the price. The toner is strong even over 250’ and easily identifies the cable. The continuity check is spot on. We use a much more expensive tool to certify lines, but this tool is ever bit worth the price for basic networking needs.

I was really impressed with this product and have used it to help solve several wiring issues in my house. It quickly identifies open circuits, mismatched ones, etc. My only negative was that I was under the impression that this would give me an approximate location of where the fault was on a particular length of cabling based on this phrase from the title -- "Test Fault Distance Location". Unfortunately that isn't the case. It will tell you the distance of a particular run or cable. It will also tell you what individual wires are crossed, disconnected, etc. It just won't tell you how far away the fault is from the tester. This is a very expensive feature so I'm not surprised it can't actually do it and overall, I was able to make do without it, but would be nice if the description could be updated a bit to reflect features better.

I do more cable making and terminating than I thought I would. I am just an amateur homeowner who did my own drops in the house. This is a significant upgrade than the testers that come in starter kits. Eventually my cheap tester died after a couple years of use. That one was the typical tester that only did continuity checks. This one does a few more things, the most useful are the distance tester and toner. Surprisingly, the quality of the connector ports is much better than my old one. Added functionality in addition to better build quality. I haven't used the professional grade testers so I can't compare to those, but this was a significant step up. The LCD screen to navigate menus and see results is quite useful as well. Glad I made the purchase, wish I did it sooner.

This tester can perform several tests found only in high priced competitors like fluke.I was surprised it could do digital toning, poe testing, network switch port finding, and normal cable testing and mapping all for around $50.Similar features on a fluke got for $1500. Great for a carry all the time low cost tester. It's at a price point I could buy several for larger projects.

This is a shop tools replacing one I lost a few months ago. I went to use it for the first time last week and it doesn't work - doesn't power up. I tried new batteries and even plugged it in using the USB but nothing brought it to life. Not sure if I am going to open it up and find out/fix where the problem is, but it is frustrating when these devices arrive DOA (dead on arrival). Shop for a more reputable name which is what I plan to do next. BTW, when I reached out to get support, was told the support window had passed.
