It's not the strategy. It's the execution.
Looks great but doesn't perform that well. The holes in the top were too small to allow actual cinnamon sugar to come out in any meaningful amount. I added a few more and it works well now. But it doesn't seem like the person who thought up this cool retro design had ever made a piece of cinnamon toast. At least not a decent one.
