I purchased this to gift one and keep the other. For me, in a single household, this works well to chop up all the veggies I need for dinner. The plastic is relatively durable and has been working well for me for the past few months. The clear compartment is nice, but a bit small as you can get about half of a vegetable sliced before you need to empty it to make room for more.
